Just off with a customer care agent chat. To their credit, I didn’t have to wait long for the agent to jump on. I just highlighted as a loyal Gold member for over 10 years that a friend was booking the same room in Seattle using a special Black Friday rate that was 1/3 the cost of the best rate I was given. The agent apologized but said it was the system and they could not assist except in a price match.
