This is app is literally the best app for recording any audio on an iDevice. Idk what they've done but it comes out with the best sounding recordings for music out of any app I've bought. It's great for musicians who wanna get quick clean live recordings. Just make sure you're not blowing out the mic and for drummers usually the "sweet spot" is about 15-20ft away and maybe muffle the mic with a thin pillow. Absolutely wondrous sound.
