Fun for a minute, but ultimately pointless
This is a somewhat fun game, but my main problem is it essentially only goes as long as the game feels like letting you. Past a certain point, you literally have no control over your own gaming experience. You play as long as the game feels generous enough to give you moves to play, and that’s it. That will maybe only be a handful of moves, or maybe it’s enough to net you some really high-scoring tiles. Either way, you’re done when the game decides you’re done, and you have no choice in the matter. It might as well just play itself.

Makes no effort to actually teach you the game
The other reviews for this are glowing, so maybe it’s just not my bag, but I don’t have the patience to play this game for hours just to figure out how to play it in the first place. It does almost nothing to explain how anything works—other than just acknowledging that something exists. What do all these dumb knobs and switches do? Who knows, figure it out yourself! You might find it fun, but if you don’t want to waste hours of your time learning the things the game can't be bother even a little bit to explain, maybe look at something else.

Great game and app, iffy AI.
This app is amazing and is truly an achievement. It's a great learning tool and a great implementation of the game. If you're a newbie, it's a great way to learn the game and get introduced to basic strategy. Seasoned players, however, will find this app a bit frustrating. My main gripe is that the AI of the partner is not great at times. My computerized partner frequently plays the dragon, Phoenix and bombs on top of my aces, goes out before me when I call Tichu, and always fails catastrophically when she calls Tichu on her own. Changing the difficulty levels to higher only makes this beh
