If you’re going to drop a new app onto my home screen there should at least be some indication of what it is and how to use it. Instead, when I open it I see a popup overlaid over another popup with sone irrelevant looking files suggested. This is the absolute bottom of usability and makes me wonder if Apple have any UX people left.

Sadly it just doesn’t work. You can record silence indoors and it’ll tell you it’s 45% sure it heard a chaffinch. Therefore there’s little reason to trust it when you do record real birdsong, which has also produced very wrong results for me.
