Not Ideal
What Amplitube does well is tone. I find the amp sims in Amplitube produce some very useable tones, especially compared to their counterparts in Apple's own GarageBand for iOS. However, unless I'm missing something, Amplitube stores the processed signal and NOT the raw signal when recording. This doesn't work. With GarageBand for iOS, for example, the raw signal of your guitar is recorded and the amp sim and stomps applied after that. GarageBand's approach allows you to change amps and effects AFTER you've recorded the part. With that approach you can change a mix after the fact or even sketch
