I am returning to this review to give the app top marks. It is a very good reference and works fine with no internet connection. It's the best dictionary app I have found. Thank you Merriam-Webster. A few minutes ago I down-rated this dictionary, because it lacked a word I sought. Then I went back to the app store, looking again for a more comprehensive offline dictionary. I chose one that actually had "Offline" in its title. What lie. It was actually a vehicle for subscription services, and would not even let me look up a word without accepting a free trial.
