Poor UX Design
There are no images on the search results page of your rides or restaurants. Do you realize how not user-friendly that is? I have to click through on each individual ride or restaurant to reach a page about it where there is one singular photo of it when I scroll down to the bottom. Put that thumbnail on the search results page so I can see all the rides and restaurants at the same time and know visually what it is I’m looking at because just a name of these things is not helpful. Great app… when it works… which is rare
This app works great when it works. The problem is, it rarely works. We were at Cedar Point last weekend. It was difficult to use, but when it finally started working, it was great. We could get directions, see where we were in the park, see what times, etc. At Michigan’s Adventure this weekend and it has been atrocious. In the park, it doesn’t know I’m in the park and I can’t see wait times. I’ve tried all the things I can think of, as far as allowing location, and nothing. Continues to get worse
App just continually gets worse over time. Does not tell you show times when you click on it from the Home Screen, instead you have to search in a non-descript area that’s hard to find. Does not provide menu information for restaurants. Ride list completely refreshes and resets you back to the top when you scroll less than halfway down the list, so you can never even get to the rest of the list. Says every single restaurant is closed even when they’re open. Park hours don’t load half the time. Constant error about “source of truth” not working.

If I could give this less than one star I would
This is by far the worst app I have ever used. Every single part of this app is subpar, and that’s the absolute nicest way to describe it. From the setup to the use, it would not stop glitching and is as not user friendly as it gets. The cedar point was bad enough and I didn’t think it was possible to do a worse job but the people who maintain this site are either underpaid or six flags is too cheap to pay for it to be properly maintained, which if you look at their profits they have more than enough money to do, or (and probably both). App freezes and I can not access anything in my account
I have the newest version of the app and have been updating as updates have been released but for over a month, any time I try to use the app it freezes. I can not access my pass - it freezes as soon as I try to click on it. I can not do anything in the app ever. It’s frustrating because I’m relying on a screenshot of my pass and can’t access any of the features in the app as a season pass holder with meal and drink plan. I’ve tried logging out, deleting app, redownloading, etc. Just a terrible user experience.

Worst app for a theme park I’ve used
It constantly glitches out if i am typing out the name of a ride for example im typing out “bat man” and while im typing it says there’s nothing by that name, making me thing im stupid. And the app shares nothing about which apps are open or closed. Rides were often closed during my stay its self which was extremely disappointing. The apps also doesn’t share wait times. I’d also like to have a gps for where I am because I often have no idea where I am. And the icons for the rides need photos, I don’t know what ride it is until I click on it and clicking on it makes The app slow.

Location Services seems broken
I was in the park yesterday. But the app didn’t recognize I was there. So I could not see wait times. I could not order food from the app. Nothing but pull up my barcode. Turns out my location sharing was set to “only when using”. I switched it to “always” and all features became available. My problem is that I don’t want Six Flags to have my location always. I only want you to have it while using. Which I’m sure a lot of people want. So make the functionality work please.

Poorly integrated app
I have all parks season passes for my family. I bought meal plans for my kids, but when I open their season passes it doesn’t show them. I cannot verify in the app that the meal plan is associated with the specific pass. Clicking on the pass perks and add ons seems like it should show this. It’s frustrating. When I open the meal plans in my wallet, it doesn’t show the name, only the 23 digit pass number. How do I get my kids to find this when I send them to the park with a friend’s parents? Another issue: The app opens every time to Carowinds, so I have to remember to change the park to King

Map won’t let you zoom in and snaps back to where you’re at in the park.
Basically the title. Also let me set my home park as the default when opening the app. Don’t know why the app opens to the alphabetical order of the parks which Six Flags owns. For example I’m here in California, why does it open to Carowinds over in North Carolina. Why not just open to the park closest to you by location, as the app already has access granted to that information. Idk. Just needs to be more fleshed out. New 5.03 App still doesn’t work.
Download & installed the new app, login window just spins endlessly. After you quit and restart the app l, suddenly you’re logged in. However, all your information, info: name, home park, etc. is blank, even though you’re logged in. My membership pass is missing and no benefits displayed. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, it’s more of the same bad coding. The merger has been a complete customer relations disaster. Just last Saturday, had to wait at the gate over an hour while they argued that I didn’t have a valid pass. Eventually they said that guest relations gave me the wrong info via email

No fast pass on app
The app is very delayed in updating what rides are open and the wait times. Also, you have to use a separate website for the fast pass; it’s not available on the app. The fast pass also requires that you “initiate” it which requires you to manually type in a very long number for each pass into the website. Lastly, we tried to order food on the app but it shows all restaurants closed so we couldn’t order even though the restaurants are open (I’m standing in line as I write this). All in all, I expect way more of the Six Flags app, this one is mostly useless other than the park map.

Cedar Fair you made a mistake
I just had to switch from the Kings Island app to this. I would love to say I was able to test the features, but I couldn’t even get the app to load. I even restarted my phone. Then a bunch of people in line for a ride also started complaining about the same thing. The only good thing that happened was it transferred my gold passes automatically. I’m lucky it loaded those so we could get in the park, because an hour later it wouldn’t load them for my discounts. So disappointed. I wish they would have waited to transfer to the Six Flags app till winter fest was over. All we can hope is the glit

Barely does the bare minimum
This app does show if a ride is closed. This is probably the most useful feature. Ride wait times don’t seem to be accurate. For example, it said the wait time Titan was <15 minutes, but the line was all the way out of the entrance. The map is also super glitchy, reorienting itself at random. It also recenters on you every time you click out of an attraction info page, which is super annoying. The filters are also next to useless. Another update with even more problems
I am beginning to think that no one on the development (or leadership) team has ever actually visited a park and used the app. One of the stated goals of the merger was to take advantage of legacy Six Flags’ technology. I hope this isn’t supposed to exemplify that. It seems like they’re aware about some of the bugs, probably from reading all the new 1-star reviews, but each BFPI update fixes one thing and breaks 72 others. 1. What a down grade
Being forced into the update, it lost my season pass membership. Took half an hour to find my membership number, couldn’t figure out how to add it, acted like I didn’t have an account so had to create an account. Then it magically found my pass…even though I supposedly didn’t have an account. Then trying to find where my pass actually was was totally not obvious, under “wallet” instead of a top level navigation button. Untested, unreliable
Post-merger, Six Flags and Cedar Fair gutted staff. Apparently that includes whoever handles app development and QA. Over the past year, the Six Flags app has slowly built up a list of ignored bugs and broken functionality. This new app was hotly anticipated as a perhaps genuinely working app; but it isn’t. It’s buggy. And not in weird edge cases. Things like not being able to add a pass or when you enter your birthday, it shows the wrong value. Six Flags going downhill and cost me money I shouldn't had to pay for my kids to stay and ride
Went to Six Flags New England on 9/27. App just updated that morning and my membership changed on the app. Free parking was taken off so I had to pay for parking. It didn't show my skip the line passes anymore. I had trouble getting into the gate due to not reading the passes that did show. I couldn't use my 15% off food and merchandise. Took forever to get into the park. Employees told me system was updated. I have no choice but to cancel my four memberships totaling $48 a month all year long just for a hassle and not even able to get the perks I'm due for.

Buggy
Would rate 3.5 stars but it won’t let me rate .5 stars. The app is mostly helpful and like a standard theme park app to get around, but there are a few issues. Firstly, the main problem is that the listed wait times are very unreliable and can take hours to update. Secondly, when you get flash passes it gets all weird and doesn’t let you add it to the app, and makes you use a website instead.

We decided to go to X-Flight because the app had said it was a 15-minute wait time. When we got there, one of the employees announced over the speaker that due to only one train running, it was going to be SEVENTY MINUTES. And guess what? This app cannot handle payment processing for purchasing park tickets. Myself and two other people in my party attempted to buy the tickets (using cards from different banks) and it errors out every time. For Magic Mountain - wait times were ludicrously incorrect and we wasted so much time heading to rides that said they had decent wait times only to find that they were hours off (or closed!). Other times we walked past rides that were clearly nearly empty that had long wait times on the app. At one point, a ride that we estimated to be able a half hour wait said that it was a 320 minute wait time! I am extremely disappointed at my experience today at six flags. I went at 5 pm to try to get into the park with two legal adults, both 18 one almost 19. We did not know before hand that they had made a new policy because this had never been a problem at all. Love this place!
I honestly don’t know what these people are complaining about. I’ve been going to this park for the past 4 years with a membership and I love it! It’s worth it to have a membership. And the dining pass. I love both parks as well. Me and my family take the kids here OFTEN to the water park and the regular park. It’s fun, plus you can get your workout with walking. I placed a mobile order for a turkey leg and had my daughter go pick up the order while I was saving a table to eat at. I went to the counter to get a refill on my souvenir cup and she said I had to stand inline because my daughter didn’t bring the cup with her to pick up her order. Ellie was so rude and her customer service is terrible. What’s the point of doing a mobile order if she can’t refill my cup just because my daughter didn’t bring it up when she picked up the order. Good Luck Updating Important Info
I’ve had my Six Flags passes for a while now and I’ve used the app basically that whole time and I think there are a few issues with it that really hurt the experience. The main one I’m writing for is that it’s a major hassle trying to update billing info for your passes through the app. It is not at all accessible, and I had to go way into my purchase history to get the order number for my purchase so I could even update it.
