We’re happy to release version 1.3 with several fixes and improvements: • You'll unlock Fast Mode after completing any single story path, instead of on your second ending. • After you finish any story path, you can now rewind to certain “checkpoints” if you’ve passed them, instead of all the way to the beginning (this is hard to describe without spoilers!). • If you were stuck at that one problem spot later on in the story, you’ll be automatically fixed. • Auto-scrolling has been fixed on iPad. • Added Apple Watch voiceover accessibility for buttons. Thanks everyone for the absolutely fantastic response and quick bug reports. You’ve completely blown us away! We have some great fixes in this update: • Improved scrolling on Apple Watch. • Fixed story typos & bugs, especially a spot where you could get stuck by following a specific sequence of choices. If you got stuck here, you may have to back up to the last decision point and make your choice again to proceed. • Fixed a problem where you could not review recent messages if you returned to the game after Taylor has disconnected. Instead of an automatic popup, a system message button will now appear at the end of the story log. • Clarified how to restart the story once you’ve completed any path (tap the button at the bottom of the screen and choose "Start Story Over”). • Clarified that once you’ve finished any path you can revisit previous choices by scrolling back and tapping either of the response buttons. • Improved scrolling & Fast Mode: it will only auto-scroll if you’re already at the end of the story log. By the way, Fast Mode unlocks after completing any two story paths. Thanks again everybody! Now go save Taylor!

Standard concept, poor execution
The concept is just what I expected when I found the game- Taylor is a student "scientist", working on some "experiment" with rats on the "Vario", a multi-million (billion?) dollar extra-solar system ship. The ship crashes, Taylor manages to be shoved on board a now destroyed escape pod and needs to find water, food, warmth and possibly the rest of the crew along with .... well, I think the less obvious needs of Taylor change with the choices the earth bound assistant makes for Taylor, within very limited strictures. My son turned me onto this years ago. This game is fun of course the first time I played I like killed poor Taylor a gazillion times. But it’s a playable game. This is the first one in his series. There’s four adventures for him and those games are just as fun. It’s one of those games that have you play. He let sit for a while when you can’t remember what happened and then you play again. It doesn’t get old. And I like the fact that you can just kinda take your time he’ll send you a text and then he’ll be off doing something and it’s not a Constant thing, unless you decided to turn on fast mod

Interesting narrative device, decent-ish writing
Downloaded this because the idea of storytelling over time through a fake interface seemed interesting. The game is decent and is an interesting gimmick. Unfortunately, there isn’t really much gameplay to speak of - almost any choice you make that’s a wrong choice Taylor will ignore and just do what the story wants you to do instead. There are only really 2 major choices at the very end that determine what ending you get. Everything else is pretty pointless and leads to the exact same text eventually. Lifetime Lifeline
I’ve been out of here for a long time, even didn’t know the whole series’ removal from my region. I managed an impulse try to recover my purchase, also a chance to rewind all my memories. Now it has been almost 9 years since the little nagging genius communicated with me, who was a girl sneakily playing iPad for the first time at 3 a.m. I love this feeling of being someone’s company, hope and — LIFELINE!! And I always believe that it’s a two-way relationship. We’re actually saving each other. Without exaggeration, I’ll say this game changed and determined my life. Thanks for creating Taylor —

Text is hard for me to read. It’s not the size, it’s the font with the light blue words on the black background. Not a good combo. Should be able to change background and font color and style. Not easy on the eyes at all. Very corny jokes and annoying commentary. Too much snark and not enough realism. I wanted Taylor to die because he/she was the most annoying character I have ever come across in a game and I play A LOT! 8 Years of Playing!
When people talk about their Roman Empires, I never thought I had one. Until, literally twenty minutes ago at the time of writing this review, my brain finally gave me the name of this experience. This was one of the first mobile apps I ever owned on my own phone (back when it was, if I remember correctly, free, since I was twelve and had no job to pay for silly phone games), and no matter how many times I finished I would play it again and again. Only a little ways in but I get the concept. Pretty cool, it’s unique and that is something that is lacking in games today. Four stars just because I haven’t finished it, when I do I would be willing to up it to 5 stars (unless it just gets really stupid). Update: changing from 4 to 5 stars, had a blast with this one. Kind of short, but there’s is a bonus story, then a sequel. Awesome job guys, what a cool game.

Taylor’s boring
Ive been trying to play this game for a week and every decision I make that I think is going to lead to something interesting happening, I wait a few hours in real time for Taylor to come back and say that she wants to turn around. If I make her persist, I want a few more real hours for her to come back and say she still wants to turn around. Nothing is happening, just walking and wanting to turn around. Really interesting, fun game
I really got into the game and felt the concerns of Taylor, trying to assist in a series of decisions that felt as if they really had consequence – and they do to the characters in the story. It's multifaceted where decisions have outcome for the characters and encourages you to figure out what's going on as much of the situation faced by Taylor remains shrouded, being revealed very slowly. The game has breaks where the character is resting, working, or walking across this desolate moon where the ship crashes. Well worth the time for this quality gameplay!

If I could give it more stars I would
The lifeline series is my favorite series across the entire App Store. There is no better storyline that draws you in and makes you feel connected to a character any better than this series of games, with this game being the best one in my opinion. I’m a few years out of high school now and I remember playing this game in junior high. Thought I would leave a review after remembering this game and just how much of a masterpiece it was. Glad to see there’s plenty more added to the series while I’ve been gone ;)

Lifeline has wonderful creativity in how the story goes, choices can puzzle your brain into making the right choice and helping Taylor survive! Also, using beliefs (aka, aliens who take over your body) on such a game, really stretches out the imagination of one’s mind. As you follow Taylor on an epic adventure, you have fun all the way through!

I love this game. Been invested for YEARS
I found this game when it first came out back when I was in high school, it was the free game of the week in the App Store and within a few hours all of my friends were invested in the story as well. Now I’m Back playing it again in preparation for the newest installment game coming out soon!! Taylor is amazingly written and the style of the game is so unique. The real-time not knowing if you made the right choice is captivating and just so so cool. 10/10 I would recommend this game and the sequels involving Taylor’s story.

Lifeline
This game is amazing I’ve played it years ago Lifeline, Lifeline 2, and Lifeline Silent Night. All are great and would highly recommend to someone who is in need of adventure in there life. Worth All 107 Pennies
This game, first off, is a masterpiece... I loved having to wait for Taylor, in real time; it was satisfying to play it over the course of a few days and then reach the end, rather then just playing for an hour, winning, and then having it be over... This game is genius, so well done. It focuses on the story and puts YOU in charge of making big decisions and paying the price for each decision you make; good or bad. Playable again & again!
Like many of the reviews, I’m re-downloading this game for the third or fourth time, which not only makes it an excellent investment, but also speaks to how well it’s made and fun it is to play over and over. I’ve even bought all the other Lifeline games, which I will also replay after playing this one again (I like to go in order of game release because they get better and better). If you’re new to this game, it won’t disappoint and you’ll find yourself coming back to it time and again. I can’t wait for new versions to come out. When might that be, developers??????

Fun the first time, but ultimately disappointing
I really enjoyed playing through this the first time, but was really disappointed upon going back and trying to find alternate storylines, only to find that there’s really only one story, hitch can only end in a couple of different ways. 99% of the “choices” you make in directing Taylor are totally inconsequential, and you are forced down the same pipeline of a story no matter what you choose. I guess I was expecting the options to lead to different events transpiring. But I still give four stars for a really fun initial play-through!

Engaging and exciting
So well written, and so much personality and heart in the characters. I appreciate the attention in not gendering the main character of Taylor so it is up to the reader’s interpretation. Can’t speak highly enough of this game, and once you start you’ll need to play all of the other games. There is a bigger story at play and it’s amazing to learn new pieces of the puzzle as you play different games. So looking forward to the future.

If your looking for a game that story drive and similar to the text based adventure games of the 80s then this is it. The game takes place in “real time” so it can take some time for choices to play out. This game is fantastic. As a ten year old, for me it’s the kind of game you never play at night, in the dark, or alone. Seriously, though. The devs are awesome. The subtle sound effects really help it all come together. The waits are a little annoying, but it helps you to take breaks and do other stuff. But god, this game is great.
