I’m glad that I had only added 30-odd titles before realizing that there’s no way to manually add some older titles. Also, searching my catalog by title is only sporadically successful.

On my phone now the barcode scanner won’t sharpen on the barcodes, it’s just fuzzy so I can’t scan anymore.

I been using LibraryThing since 2010. Still I am using the website site instead of the app. I wish there was an app for the iPad. LibraryThing is one of the best Book Collection available.

It doesn’t recognize half of my collection. The first time using 12 books in a row could not be found. Special editions and book subscription box books can’t be found. (Like Owlcrate editions) As well as indie author books, even purchased from Amazon, can not be found. This app also has a cap, so too bad for people with large libraries.

Barcode scanner function is neat but if you are interested in adding older, uncatalogued titles there is no way to manually add your book. Also, can’t we create new collections? Make it a limited amount for server space, but at least make it possible to create a new collection through the app. I have a growing collection of old comic books that I would like distinguished from the monographs. Serials in general deserve their own collection in the greater catalogue.

But wish I could see my Library offline (Have no Home Internet) or wish I could save Library (pdf or csv) to Pocket app or Drive. Other than that it’s great.

I decided to switch to Library Thing because of Amazon and the tight integration with Goodreads. However, in this app, Amazon is the only book seller as a search option. I want to be able to manually add book stores, but this app does not have that feature.

Says I’m not connected to the internet but I am, says too many HTTP redirects but other apps search ISBNs fine. Really expected better from LibraryThing but they messed this up badly. Save yourself the aggravation and don’t download this.

This is my favourite app for keeping track of my books! I do wish there was a way to manually enter a book that’s not on any of their databases though. I have some older books that I can’t add at all.

Great companion app for quick library scanning onto the librarything website. 150 books in 1 1/2 hours is amazing.

I also agree that it would be helpful to be able to categorize books by author, genre etc.

Love this app for the ease of adding books by scanning barcodes. The trouble I’m having is that there is no way to add a book that it doesn’t recognize. I had about ten books in the first hour of using this that didn’t register and there is no option to “add” a brand new entry to the system. Other that that it is extremely easy to use.

It is beyond annoying to try and type full titles, properly spelled, using an iPhone! If you type one letter wrong it comes up with "No results" and you have to start over. If you notice you have misspelled any part of the title before you hit search, you still need to retype the whole title as you can't select the portion to change. You should not have to type the whole title before suggestions come up yet this is exactly what you have to do since typing is not intuitive or auto-correcting. You would think the option to scan the book's barcode would make the process easier and faster. Nope.

very nice to have a LibraryThing app, at last! this is a great start for initial release; looking forward to added functionality in the future (e.g. display users' tags, perhaps an ipad-specific app too).

Been waiting for this for years and it doesn't disappoint. Super easy to add books with barcode scan or add a new cover image using the camera.

I've been dreaming of this app for years! Now I can easily access my library on the go, very useful when shopping at my fave used book store :) The barcode scan function is great for quickly adding new books. Thank you librarything! A long-time user.

Love the bar-code scanning and the ability to review my catalogue while browsing book sales – no more buying books I already own! You're the best, LT!!!

Great to have access from my phone, tried adding a couple of books without issue, and catalog functionality seems ok (would be nice if bar code scanner could be silenced.) But the UI (basic list with bottom toolbar) seems like it's five years old already. Would be nice to see something more creative!
