Unable to use subscription properly!

App logs me out randomly and sometimes shows a black screen with no error message. AirPlay to Apple TV doesn’t work (I understand single‑device limits), but worst of all it locked my account for 24 hours citing “malicious activity.” Unreliable and frustrating.

Bias against baseer ali in BB19

I’m uninstalling this app due to one of your show biggboss 19, the show falls under “reality tv” but instead is a scripted mess to play with audience’s emotions. Baseer Ali “Audience’s favourite” in recent episode got evicted with maker’s plan and not audience voting is the turning point for many to be disappointed with the channel. Highest trended contestant baseer gave it all to the show and received bias in return! What a shame! Bring him back and I will re-install it!

I played for a subscription for jio hotstar, to watch shows, but instead i am bombarded with 2 minutes worth of ads every 6 minutes of a 20 minute show. When the ad’s get over, i forget what happened before the ads started. Also to let u know im writing this review while ads are playing

Invalid user session

Since yesterday I’ve been getting an error : invalid user session, log out and log back in. Except there is no log out option. I bought the subscription in India, I’m accessing in India and yes I’ve tried uninstalling and resinstalling the app. For a company this size I expect they would design and test these apps better.

User should be able to download season if need be but rather its need to be downloaded each episode. Even the delete is not automatic after viewing the episode and each have to be deleted one by one. Very tiring experience. Simply enable Edit and selection be allowed for mass delete. Time to make these basic enhancement asap.

Advertisement despite subscription

If you’re making an app targeting certain audiences, do your market research right. The model all US streaming apps use is premium = no ads, or have options to upgrade to a plan that has no ads. Unacceptable that they don’t provide the no ads option and that it takes you by surprise after you buy the subscription.

While the content of is what I was looking for, the cheap and greedy approach to make money is a bummer. Despite being a paying member, I get ads while watching the show. In fact a lot of time the ad would get stuck in middle and then I have to close the app and watch the ad again, seems like the service is trying to maximize the impressions and make money! disappointing!

Bad application for relying sports live

When u start the app if a live match is going on they should straight take to live… because anyhow they are taking huge ad break of 15 seconds in between every 3-4 minutes. If there is a replay it’s missed and commentary will be broken as like anything. Atleast when there is a crucial time atleast they can play for lengthy ads… but not like every 3 minutes for a test match which is repeated like 100 times a test match day… Be sensible we are paying for subscription monthly…

Not uploading shows on time

Hotstar is a very good app with lots of Indian content. I enjoy the shows a lot. But sometimes I feel they upload shows very late. For example, dance plus Telugu finale was over 3-4 hours ago and they still did not upload on Hotstar. For fans like me, it is a big turn off. I stay in USA and do not have access to live TV, so it is very frustrating.

Not morethan 50 Hindi movies

Do not purchase hotstar USA subscription. It’s very pathetic. 70% I mean 30 to 35 movies have a glitch they stop playing and after play it will too much blurry even in 5G speed in New York City. And 95% (45 to 47 movies) movies are super flop movies. But you will not get morethan 50 Hindi Bollywood movies. So do not waste your money. Better you buy IPTV box. I’m regretting that I waste my $50 for this hopeless rubbish app. I’m gonna buy iptv box.

But I just want to say, that all the people giving it 1 star... they are wrong completely The first thing, Hotstar has a variety of shows, which I love. I love Hindi serials, and they include full episodes which I love. It’s really really amazing for that. I am watching many many serials on it. And have watched old serials, which I have loved. They include all the episodes of old serials, which I love. Most apps that have Hindi serials, don’t upload the whole episodes of old serials in the USA. Ok first problem
