About Cryptograms:
A cryptogram is an encoded statement that requires a degree of strategy to decode. The cryptograms found in this puzzle game use a 1-to-1 substitution cipher. For example all of the letter N’s in a cryptogram might stand for the letter B in the decoded statement. Aside from letters nothing else in the statement has been changed, e.g. spacing and punctuation. In the case of this puzzle game all statements are quotes from relatively famous to very famous individuals. Using your knowledge of the English language and grammar, see if you can decode the quote!
Cryptograms based on quotes are also commonly called cryptoquotes. The cryptoquotes found in this puzzle game are a mix of modern and historical quotes.

Ads are very long and hard to exit out of. This is the only thing I don’t like. Other than the ads, the puzzles are great.

Simply Puzzles
This is the simplest app. No weird cartoons or characters, just puzzles. But I would really like to be able to opt out of ads with a one-time payment. The ads are sometimes inappropriate and they’re all too long and obnoxious.

Fun Cryptogram App
I really enjoy playing word games & I play several different cryptogram puzzle apps. This one is by far my favorite. It allows you to check to make sure you haven’t made mistakes along the way that’ll throw the whole thing off without having to watch an ad every time. It is also just the right difficulty level. The apps that have super hard to solve puzzles also seem to be the ones that make you watch ads every time you turn around. If you like word puzzles, you’ll probably enjoy this app.

Loved but very disappointing update! Now Very Annoying Ads, keeps resetting.
This was my favorite game! I feel it helps my focus and thinking and often played every day. Format is great. I still love and appreciate the game itself, BUT it reset after a forced update after updating iPhone and I lost my awesome best score and all my history. Now it just keeps resetting and I lose my history. Also, the ads used to be reasonable, quick, actual business ads even, and not just the same old gaming ploys like now. I get one almost every new game so that’s every 1-3 minutes of play sometimes, where most often I am forced to open the App Store to get through it, then 3 more

I have played this game for 10 years and it’s the best thing on my phone—enough that I would LOVE to pay for an ad-free version. The ads play for longer than it takes me to complete a puzzle. Five stars for the game, zero for the ad situation, makes three stars the outcome. I do paid to get some ad free games, and would do so for this one if it was made available. If the situation doesn’t change I will be so frustrated that I will delete the game, just as I did when I first played.

Great app - fun, enjoyable and great mental exercise!
I love how this app and how you have to figure out a phrase - or an entire quote - by knowing how our language pattern works.
However, I would like it better if it let you know you entered a letter incorrectly right away. It puts a red letter in (instead of a gray one) if you’ve tried to use a letter twice, but it won’t tell you others are wrong unless ask for a hint.

This game is my addiction and my go-to for wasting or killing time. My only complaint, but a big one for me, is your virtually failed attempt to distinguish used letters from those still available. I rarely need that hint, but when I do, like when there is one odd letter still remaining to get, in a foreign word, then it comes down to trial and error for those of us with failing eyesight; thus it is a real struggle to finish with a good score.

A Favorite
This Cryptogram game is one of my all-time favorites! Solving the puzzles makes me feel smart and I use the timer to challenge myself to solve more and more quickly (my best time so far is 37 seconds ☺️). I seldom need to resort to using hints and I enjoy reading the quotes quite a bit. Suggestion: maybe you could come up with a “daily” puzzle and keep track of how many consecutive days we get it right? I make the “daily” puzzles a habit with a few other favorite games/puzzles.

Love the game. It works 100% of the time and I absolutely love everything about it, but THE ADS!!!! I don’t mind watching ads, but recently some of the ads just won’t go away. Some just lock my screen and I have to turn off my iPad because the X never appears to end it.

Love cryptograms
I love working cryptograms and have had this app for years. Now my iPad has a problem. For no reason, all my stats are periodically deleted and the app starts over. Is this a problem with my iPad or the app? Whatever, I still enjoy this app.
I want to change my rating. I am so upset with the ads that seem to take forever to close. I would be willing to pay to play without annoying ads. Please NO ADS.

I love the game and the options it has but honestly for about every minute I play I have to put up with lengthy ads. Ads are minutes long…..just spending too much time waiting for the same repetitive ads to end so I can spend the next minute or so actually playing! Time to move on I guess.

if you enjoy a challenge, a puzzle, codes, or keeping your mind sharp, this game is not only rewarding but fun! i’ve played many different cash grab and word games, many for years— This is the best crypto game ever! It is relaxing (or if you’re looking for more of a challenge you can use the timer and not use hints!) and so much fun to play! I’m never bored with it. The short ads aren’t comparable to the big game companies that have options to see ads or have no ads but manipulate the game —you have to pay big $$ in order to continue play or win— a note to the developer: hopefully you won’t

It used to be really nice playing this. I really like decoding messages and quotes. Unfortunately this like every other game has fallen into the category " is it really worth it". WAY TOO MANY ADS. Just about every time you finish one, you get a long ad. Not one you hit once or twice to close. No, you have to hit each ad at least 4 times after waiting the extended time period for the next "X". I'm not sure I can find another cryptoquote game, but if the ads keep up, I'm going to start looking. It's sad because you have/had a really good game base.

This game is a lot of fun. It’s great to keep your brain active! You can get hints and check your progress. I try to not allow myself more than 3 hints. It works for me. Sometimes I go for just 2 hints. It all depends on how much time I have to play.
The ads between games are short and not bad at all. I haven’t had any glitches with the game. So far so good!

In between every puzzle is a stupid ad that you’re forded to sit through. I enjoyed the puzzles and would pay for puzzle packs and pay to get rid of the ads completely. But the ads are way too frequent, take way too long to get through, and just kill the enjoyment.
Find a game without so many ads or that provides a way to get an ad free version.

Great setup
I’ve only been playing for a couple of weeks. I used to do them daily. It has been many years since I’ve done them so I’m a little rusty, but this app is set up perfectly for visual people it has the ability to undo so your able to checkout letters to see how they fit or not. It also has a check to see if your on the right path. I recommend this app for the experienced or for people curious to learn.

Love cryptograms
I used to buy the cryptogram puzzle books when I could find them. When I saw this app i was thrilled. Its like the puzzle books but so much better. I don’t need an eraser. For the more difficult one i would sometimes have to rewrite the puzzle on a separate piece of paper I had erased so much. To be fair the books were printed on cheap newsprint. One I realize I have gone down a rabbit hole just reset. Fabulous. Love this game so much I don’t mind the commercials between each puzzle.
