Description
T-fix spot is a location tool that can take a "spot" location of a smart phone handset. Locating people, particularly in an unfamiliar environments can be difficult. T-Fix SPOT is a web based service designed to give organizations the ability to quickly determine locations and status of personnel wherever smart phones can be utilized.
Individuals utilise this system for monitoring handsets where users have agreed and who live in, or travel to, a medium risk environment where crime, abduction, terrorism may occur. The system does not track users. It obtains a "spot" location update when instructed by a user or commanded by the web platform. This allows privacy in daily life does not significantly impact handset battery life and allows for international roaming without incurring high data costs
Disclaimer: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
