CallKit Integration for Accession Mobile on iOS10
Accession Mobile V2.24 on devices running iOS10 now makes use of the much improved VoIP call support offered by Apple's CallKit and SiriKit integration while retaining the advanced calling features offered via the Accession UI.
With CallKit and SiriKit integration, Accession calls made and received on iOS10 devices can be handled in an equivalent way to cell calls, including being answered and terminated from Bluetooth headsets, and used in CarKit equipped cars.
Incoming Call with CallKit Integration on iOS
The user can simply answer the call without needing to unlock their device first. Once in the call, the device shows the native in-call UI.
Native in-call UI
The top row of buttons provide the standard in-call services, including a keypad that can be used to play DTMF tones. The second row of buttons all prompt the user to unlock the phone before they can be used. The Accession button takes the user to the Accession in-call UI so that the user can access specific Accession call services, for example three-way calling, call transfer, and call pull.
If an incoming call is not answered, the user sees a notification on screen that is saved to the notification center on the device.
If the phone is unlocked when an Accession call arrives, the slider is replaced with separate Decline and Accept buttons, and the device switches to the Accession in-call UI when the call is accepted.
