Coexist 1.0.5 What's New The app now speaks your language. The whole interface is available in 11 languages: Spanish, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Italian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, and Russian. coexist follows your device language automatically, and Arabic reads fully right to left. Description

A reader for the sacred texts of the world, twelve traditions in one library, with the same passage you're reading quietly linked to its echoes elsewhere. TWELVE TRADITIONS, ONE LIBRARY Christianity (World English Bible), Judaism (JPS Tanakh), Islam (Quran, ClearQuran translation), Hinduism (Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, four Vedas), Buddhism (Dhammapada, Lotus Sutra, Heart Sutra, Buddhist Suttas), Taoism (Tao Te Ching, Chuang Tzu), Confucianism (Analects), Jainism (Jain Sutras), Sikhism, Shinto (Kojiki), Zoroastrianism (Zend-Avesta), Bahá'í (Kitáb-i-Aqdas, Kitáb-i-Íqán). All in the public domain or under free-use licenses. TAP A PASSAGE, FIND ITS COUSINS Every passage is connected, offline and precomputed, to its closest thematic relatives across the other eleven traditions - using sentence-level meaning, not keyword match. Read Psalms about the silence of God, then watch the same image bloom in the Tao Te Ching, the Upanishads, and the Quran. Tap the bubble graph for an Obsidian-style visualization of how a verse sits in its web of cousins. ON-DEVICE AI INSIGHTS Optionally turn on the on-device language mode, a small 400 MB model runs entirely on your iPhone — to read a short two-sentence reflection on why two passages connect, or what a single verse is teaching. No data leaves the device. No API keys. No subscription. Save any insight to a personal library; tap it later to return to the moment you found it. WIDGETS A daily-verse widget surfaces a different passage each day, in small, medium, and large sizes. Filter it to just the traditions you read most, or just specific books — up to three of each. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts. No analytics. No network requests beyond the optional one-time AI model download. Everything you bookmark or save is stored locally on this device. There is nothing to opt out of because there is nothing to collect. THOUGHTFUL DETAILS • Serif typography throughout, in three reader modes (system, sepia, dark). • Adjustable font size. • Full-text search across every passage, scoped to all traditions or just one. • Themes browser, twenty-eight thematic tags like love, compassion, suffering, light - for shuffling between passages on the same idea. • Jump-to-verse for chapter-and-verse books (Bible, Quran, Tanakh). • Bookmarks. Saved insights. Stored entirely on this device. coexist is not affiliated with any religious organization. Every text is presented in a public-domain or free-use translation; full credits in Settings → Translations & Credits.

Build 886446217v1.0.42026-06-03 14:49:13
What's New in coexist 1.0.4 Today, across every tradition A new Today tab shows what each tradition is reading on this same date, side by side. See the day's Psalm, Torah portion, Quran juz, Gita chapter, Dhammapada, Tao Te Ching, Analects, and more, all in one place. Rearrange the cards into the order you like, or hide the traditions you are not following. Read in the original language Open any supported book side by side with its source text, so you can follow the English and the original together as you read. Spinnable 3D book covers The Library now gives each tradition a real 3D cover you can grab and spin with your finger, with a smooth, natural spring back into place. Quick actions everywhere Long press passages and items across the app to bring up handy shortcuts without leaving your spot. Thank you for reading with coexist. If you are enjoying the app, a rating or review really helps.
Build 886126378v1.0.32026-06-02 17:06:05
What's new in coexist Original-language scripture, side-by-side • New display modes in the reader's text-format menu: English, Original, and Side-by-Side. • The picker only appears on books that have a source text bundled (Arabic Qur'an, Hebrew Tanakh, Sanskrit Gita, Classical Chinese Tao Te Ching, with more landing each release). • Side-by-Side pairs the original verse with its joined English sentences. Horizontal split on iPad, stacked on iPhone. • Original mode renders source-language verses directly, so condensed translations (Arnold's 237-verse Gita vs. 701 Sanskrit shlokas) no longer hide the verses they collapse. • RTL scripts (Arabic, Hebrew) get correct text direction and column ordering in the side-by-side layout. Long-press menus everywhere • Press and hold a verse in the reader to bookmark, see connections, copy, share, or clear annotations. Now works in every display mode (previously the menu was empty in Original or Side-by-Side). • Press and hold a tradition on the Read tab to move it between My Faith and Exploring, or hide it from your library, without digging into onboarding. • Press and hold a Today tab card for Open in Reader, Bookmark, Connections, Copy, and Share. Cleaner Bookmarks tab • The Insights segment is hidden until you've actually saved an AI insight, so the picker isn't cluttered with an empty bin. Data cleanups • Yajurveda: OCR-garbled chapters folded, canonical 1..40 numbering, preface stripped. • Upanishads: mis-imported corpus collapsed into Isha, Katha, and Kena. • Zend-Avesta Part II: 99 garbled chapter labels folded into the canonical 29.

coexist — What's new in this version ===================================== Sentence-level reading ---------------------- Every long passage in the 26 non-Abrahamic books is now split into one row per sentence. The Mahabharata, Ramayana, Guru Granth Sahib, Zend- Avesta, Bahá'í texts, and 21 others now read like the Bible / Tanakh / Quran - short, scrollable, swipeable units. Total passage count grew from 99,290 to 339,603. Cross-tradition connection maps (the "neighbors" that power the bubble graph) were rebuilt against the new corpus so freshly minted sentences are linked to their cousins across traditions. Quran fix --------- Removed 112 stray "verse 0" entries - these were the Bismillah recited before every surah, mistakenly numbered as a verse in surahs 2–114. Surahs now start at verse 1, matching canonical numbering. Surah 1 (Al-Fatiha) and surah 9 (At-Tawbah) were already correct and untouched. Widget - new theme filter ------------------------- The daily-verse widget editor now has three filter dimensions instead of two: Traditions, Books, and (new) Themes. Pick up to three of each; the daily verse must satisfy every non-empty dimension. Themes mirror the in-app catalog (Love, Compassion, Wisdom, Suffering, etc.). Widget - smarter book picker ---------------------------- When you've picked one or more traditions in the widget editor, the book picker only offers books from those traditions. If no tradition is selected it shows everything as before. iPad - full screen-space layout ------------------------------- On iPad the Read tab now uses a 3-column split view: traditions sidebar, book list, reader detail. All three are visible at once instead of one screen at a time. The reader prose column is capped at about 60–75 characters per line so long-form reading stays comfortable even on a 13" iPad. Library and Themes grids resolve to fewer, larger tiles on iPad so screen real estate gets used. iPad - sheet handling --------------------- On iPad, tapping a different tradition or book now automatically dismisses any open Connections or Search sheet from the previous selection, so floating popovers don't hang over the new screen. Small fixes ----------- - "Zoroastrianism" no longer wraps onto two lines on the tradition cover; the title now scales down to fit on one line. - Bundle-size guardrail raised to 140 MB / 160 MB to accommodate the richer corpus.
Build 885857927v1.0.12026-05-22 00:30:25
• Reader annotations — highlight, underline, strikethrough, and add private notes to any verse. • 3D book covers throughout the library for a richer browsing feel. • AI passage-pair synthesis — surface meaningful connections between two passages and share them as a beautiful card. • Cleaner search — unified toolbar across the search screen and a new filter on the book list. • Tighter bubble titles that prioritize the full citation over truncation. • Polish & reliability fixes across onboarding, the daily-verse widget, and overall performance. Thanks for reading with coexist. Feedback is always welcome.
