Copperplate Coach

Copperplate Coach helps you study **traditional English Copperplate capitals** (round hand / Engrosser’s style): curated lessons for every letter, **on-screen tracing** over licensed exemplar artwork, and optional **AI coaching** for deeper tips and photo feedback on your practice sheets. **Key Features** • Browse capitals **A–Z** with overviews, stroke ideas, and common pitfalls • **Trace** each letter on your iPhone or iPad with finger or Apple Pencil (PencilKit) over a semi-transparent guide • **AI letter coach** — expand any lesson with structured tips and a short practice drill (optional) • **AI practice coach** — photograph your paper practice; get strengths, improvements, and a suggested drill • **No accounts, no ads, no in-app purchases** — lesson text and exemplar images are bundled in the app **How It Works** 1. Open **Letters** and tap a capital. 2. Read the lesson, study the exemplar, then tap **Trace over this letter** to practice on screen. 3. Optionally tap **AI: deeper tips** for extended guidance (sends text to our AI provider; see Privacy Policy). 4. Use the **Coach** tab to pick or snap a photo of your practice and tap **Get AI feedback**. **Educational Use Only** AI output is for learning calligraphy. Do not use it to forge signatures or official documents. **Privacy & Data** • **No personal data collection** — we do not ask for your name, email, or an account. On-screen tracing stays on your device and is not uploaded. • **Bundled exemplars** — capital reference images are from **Wikimedia Commons** (Copperplate letter Version2 set), © Thirunavukkarasye-Raveendran, **CC BY-SA 4.0**. Attribution is shown in the app and in our privacy policy. • **AI processing** — when you request letter tips or practice feedback, data is sent over **HTTPS** to **Replicate** (replicate.com), which runs **Google Gemini**. We do not operate our own backend for the app. Text-only AI requests may include a minimal placeholder image due to API shape; **only the Coach tab** sends your practice photo. • **Camera & Photos** — camera only when you tap **Camera** on the Coach tab; library read only when you choose a photo there. • **No tracking** — no analytics SDKs, ad networks, or cross-app tracking.
