What’s New Version 1.10.1
Minor improvements and refinements.
Description
NetScanPro turns your iPhone into a professional-grade Wi-Fi network scanner. Discover devices on your network, identify open services, and understand exactly what's on your Wi-Fi — and what might be at risk — with all scanning happening on your device.
FEATURES
Device Discovery
Finds devices on your local Wi-Fi network using four discovery methods working in parallel: TCP probing, Bonjour/mDNS, SSDP/UPnP, and ICMP ping
Shows IP addresses, IPv6 addresses, hostnames, and device categories
Identifies manufacturers and model hints from Bonjour records and SSDP announcements
Works with Macs, PCs, smart TVs, printers, Fire TVs, Apple TVs, routers, smart-home and Matter devices, and more
Port Scanning with Plain-Language Descriptions (Pro)
Tap any device to scan 25 common TCP ports
Identifies HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, FTP, SMB, IPP, mDNS, RDP, VNC, and more
Tap any port in your scan results to learn what it actually does — no networking degree required
Security guidance for sensitive ports explains real-world risks like WannaCry, credential exposure, and exposed cameras and printers — with severity tiers so you know what actually needs attention
See exactly which services are running on each device
Results cached locally for quick reference
Network Security Summary (Pro)
Scan every device on your network at once and see all your security findings in one place
Findings grouped by risk type, so you can spot patterns across your whole network at a glance
Tap any finding to see exactly which devices are affected
Color-coded severity makes it clear what's a real risk versus what's just worth knowing
Network-Aware Scanning
Each Wi-Fi network keeps its own separate device list
Switch between networks (home, work, anywhere) with a tap
Per-network scan history, device renaming, and PDF reports
Create networks manually and pin a scan to a specific one, so two sites that look identical (same subnet, same gateway) stay separate
Move devices between networks to reorganize your catalog
Privacy First
Face ID or passcode required to unlock the app
All scanning happens on-device — nothing is transmitted to servers
No accounts, no analytics, no tracking SDKs
Your scan history stays on your phone
Freemium
Free: unlimited device discovery, 3 network scans per day
Pro ($6.99 one-time): unlimited scans + port scanning on every device + network security summary + PDF report export + device renaming. No subscriptions.
Built for home network administrators, IT professionals, security-conscious users, and anyone curious about what's actually on their Wi-Fi.
NetScanPro doesn't just scan your network — it teaches you what's on it and what to watch for. The in-app help screen explains how device discovery works and which devices may not appear (some IoT and privacy-mode phones don't expose themselves to any iOS scanner).
Note: NetScanPro is designed for use on networks you own, administer, or have explicit permission to inspect.

Build 887529591v1.10.12026-06-27 23:40:51
Minor improvements and refinements.
Build 886787059v1.102026-06-10 20:54:40
Pro features are now clearly labeled throughout the app, so you always know what's included before you tap. The upgrade screen now shows you exactly what you're unlocking based on the feature you came from. Free scans still reset daily, and Pro remains a one-time purchase.
Build 886750897v1.9.12026-06-10 15:11:35
Same features as 1.9, with a refreshed App Store listing.
Build 886650927v1.92026-06-08 14:19:15
What's New:
You can now manage your networks manually:
- Create your own named networks and pin a scan to a specific one — so two different sites that share the same subnet and gateway no longer get merged into a single record.
- Move devices from one network to another to clean up your existing catalog.
- Auto-detect remains the default and works exactly as before.
Build 886599611v1.82026-06-06 16:45:00
This update fixes how NetScanPro identifies your networks and devices:
• Networks that share a common address range (like 192.168.1.x) are now kept properly separate — devices from one network no longer get mixed into another.
• Fixed a case where a single device could show up as two separate entries that couldn't be combined.
Build 886490994v1.7.12026-06-03 20:48:37
Added a "More Apps" section so you can discover other Fogarty Holdings apps, including Field Stub for IT field techs.
Build 886428685v1.72026-06-02 19:59:55
This release is all about understanding what's actually risky on your network — not just what's connected.
- Network Security Summary (Pro): scan every device on your network at once and see all your security findings in one place, grouped by risk type and color-coded by severity. Tap any finding to see exactly which devices are affected.
- Clearer security guidance: port security notes now use severity tiers, so a genuine risk looks different from a "good to know." We rewrote the notes for SMB, RDP, RTSP, and printer ports to lead with the real risk and a specific action to take.
- Added VNC (port 5900) to port scanning, plus improved detection of smart-home and Matter devices.
Build 886147185v1.62026-05-26 18:47:50
Better device identification. NetScanPro now recognizes more devices on your network, including Matter smart-home accessories, Apple Watch, and various Wi-Fi devices that don't broadcast traditional service information. Devices that previously appeared as just an IP address may now show a recognizable name and icon.
Improved Bonjour service discovery. Added support for additional service types including Matter, Hue, and Apple Companion Link, which means more accurate device categorization across your network.
Bug fixes and stability improvements.
Build 885835717v1.52026-05-19 19:44:10
- NetScanPro now finds more devices on your network using four discovery methods working together: TCP probing, Bonjour/mDNS, SSDP/UPnP, and ICMP ping.
- Smart TVs, IoT devices with UPnP, and media servers should now appear in your scans, along with some devices that only respond to ping.
- New help screen explains how device discovery works and why some devices (like phones with privacy mode, and certain smart speakers) won't appear (tap the info button in the device list).
- A few quiet improvements under the hood.
Build 885540088v1.42026-05-12 19:27:26
- NetScanPro now tracks devices per-network, so when you scan at home, work, a friend's place, or anywhere new, each network's devices stay properly separated. Switch between networks via the new chip at the top of the device list.
- Manage all your networks: rename them with custom labels, see your full network history, or remove networks you no longer need.
- Swipe any device to delete it from your scan history, with a confirmation prompt.
- A few quiet stability improvements under the hood.
Build 885254441v1.32026-05-04 21:36:12
- Pro users can now export a complete PDF report of any network scan — including devices, IP addresses, hostnames, vendors, and port scan results. Tap the share icon in the top-right of the device list to generate the report and share via Files, AirDrop, email, or print.
- Useful for IT consultants documenting client networks, home users tracking device changes over time, or anyone wanting a snapshot of what's on their Wi-Fi.
Build 885193511v1.22026-05-03 01:59:34
- Pro users can now rename any device to your own custom labels — tap the pencil icon on any device detail screen, or swipe left on a device in the list.
- Bug fixes and reliability improvements for the Pro upgrade flow.
Build 885095165v1.12026-04-30 18:48:47
- Three easy ways to rescan ports: a refresh button in the toolbar, pull-to-refresh on the results list, and a refresh shortcut on every device detail screen
- Expanded port scanning from 20 to 25 ports — now catches Chromecast / Google Home (8008/8009), AirPlay audio receivers (7000), IP cameras (554), and HP/enterprise printers (9100)
- Tap any new port for a plain-language explanation, with security notes for IP cameras and network printers
- Improved reliability of the Pro upgrade flow
Build 884948392v1.0.22026-04-27 14:44:11
- Fixed duplicate device entries that could appear when devices announce multiple Bonjour services (Bose soundbars, Fire TVs, HP printers, and similar)
- Added a network summary card showing your local subnet, device count, and last scan time
- Refreshed app accent color for better visual identity
- Improved cross-platform device resolution for Apple devices and printers using both IPv4 and IPv6
Build 884740134v1.02026-04-24 09:59:19
Build 884895622v1.0.12026-04-24 22:38:31
- Clearer paywall when you've used your daily scan limit, so you know exactly when and how to upgrade
- Scan Ports button is now front-and-center on every device detail screen
- Tap any port in your scan results to learn what it's used for, including security notes for sensitive ports
