The Discogs API has had repeated outages lately, so Spinstack now makes clear when it is Discogs, not the app, names what is wrong, and shows when it recovers. Your collection falls back to its saved copy instead of erroring, and a record you add during an outage queues and submits automatically once Discogs is back, checking first so nothing is added twice. We also run our own status page in Settings. Scrobbles survive Last.fm outages. Log a spin while Last.fm is unreachable and Spinstack holds the scrobble, then sends it automatically when the service returns, so a listen is never lost. Custom records, beyond vinyl. Sorting Collection or a folder by letter or original year on iOS 26.5 with a few thousand records could trip the system watchdog and terminate the app. Fixed. Section headers no longer pin to the top of the screen; a small floating capsule shows your current letter or decade instead. The right-edge alphabet scrubber works the same as before. The underlying layout is dramatically lighter on big libraries. - Trial fairness across reinstalls. The 30-day free trial used to reset every time the app was deleted and reinstalled, because the trial date lived only in a store that iOS wipes on uninstall. We fixed the sync bug that was hiding records added on Discogs.com. Pulling to refresh now shows your latest additions, including on big libraries where a stalled page in the middle of a refresh used to throw the whole result away. A few more wins along the way: - Price Watchdog is steadier on large libraries. A tester reported the app quitting halfway through a long sync on a several-thousand-record collection. We trimmed peak memory across the fetch and throttled mid-sync recomputes so the process stays alive end-to-end. - Pulling to refresh on the Home screen actually fetches now. Was a silent no-op within five minutes of the last sync. - Some Apple Music pressings come with the wrong preview track list. Release Detail now has a per-record Hide Apple Music Previews toggle. - Batch Tag Records picked up an "Ignore leading 'The'" sort option so The Beatles files under B and The Wall files under W. Notification scheduling also stopped blocking the main thread during tab switches on big libraries. • Pull to refresh now re-sorts every time, even when the record count is identical before and after. • A rare crash in Price Watchdog when a release appeared in both your collection and wishlist is fixed. • Background tasks stop cleanly when you leave a view. No more stale redraws after rapid tab switching. • A rare cold-launch crash from tapping a notification is gone. Crate Dig got a visual refresh too. Bucket and match pills moved to the top of each card. Action buttons now carry labels so new users don't have to guess. The progress strip shows "Card 3 of 12" and "9 left." Fixed a data parsing error that could break search in large collections. If you hit a "data couldn't be read" message when searching, that's resolved. Record detail and sync were not affected.

Refreshing The B-Side in the Friends or full view can no longer wipe your home shelf when CloudKit has a hiccup. Reordering home sections after an app update no longer risks a crash. Cards on The B-Side home shelf with user notes now line up cleanly with cards that have no notes. Full notes in the B-Side view are no longer truncated at 2 lines. Price Watchdog confirmation dialog updated to reflect the new batch size.

The B-Side: Now Working The friend activity feed from 1.2.1 wasn't showing spins between friends due to a username matching issue. Fixed. Usernames are now case-insensitive everywhere. If your feed was empty, tap Settings > The B-Side > Wipe My B-Side once, then log a fresh spin. Manual refresh buttons added to Friends and The B-Side views. Permissions Setup New and returning users are guided through Camera and Apple Music permissions early so features work the first time you need them. All camera views now show an "Open Settings" button when access is denied instead of a dead end. Easier to Understand Collection, Wishlist, and other views now have brief descriptions so you know what each section does. New tooltips explain The B-Side, Apple TV pairing, Milestones, Spin Log, and the Stacks dashboard as you discover them. The purple number in Sonic Connections Bridge Records is now labeled. Mood tags say they shape your Spin Analytics. Price Watchdog shows its data comes from Discogs Marketplace. Vinyl DNA has an expandable list of all six collector archetypes. The Recently Played section guides new users to log their first spin. Crate Dig in Insights Crate Dig now has its own card in the Insights tab so it's easier to find. Price Watchdog: Faster Prices now fetch in parallel instead of one at a time. Larger batches, shorter cooldowns, and releases already priced today are skipped automatically. Roughly twice as fast for large collections, and repeat refreshes are near-instant. Tips Show Faster Feature discovery tips now appear on your second launch instead of your fourth, and new tips can surface every hour instead of once per day. Your notes, ratings, moods, and listening history stay private unless you explicitly opt them in. Shared activity auto-fades after 7 days, and a single tap wipes everything you've ever published. DJ-FRIENDLY SHARING Flip the eye toggle on any spin to share your note publicly. Enable ratings in settings and your stars ride along too. Your friends see the records you loved, not just the records you played. NEW HOME SHELF The B-Side lives on your Stacks home screen alongside Recently Added and Recently Played. Tap a card to view the record, long-press to log your own spin of the same album. HONEST STATS "Various" no longer counts as an artist in Top Artists, Unique Artists, Wax Timeline, or Crate Dig.
