This update brings nearby people displayed and messaging enabled so you can connect with kind people around you, a repeat button to save your favorite deeds for future lists, dark mode and text size controls for better readability, voice feedback and haptic vibrations for accessibility, reduce motion for users with motion sensitivity and a redesigned Inspire Me button with fun facts.

Nearby Kindness - Discover kind people near you. You can now opt in from Settings to share your approximate location and see other users nearby along with their streaks and completed days. The feature is completely optional and privacy-first. Your exact address is never shared, only a general area. If there are no users close by, the search automatically expands to a wider radius so you can still feel connected to the kindness community. Turn it on or off anytime from Settings. Settings Screen - There is now a dedicated Settings screen accessible from the gear icon in the header. Your daily reminder time picker has moved here for a cleaner experience. The new Nearby Kindness toggle also lives here. This is where all future preferences and options will be managed. Did You Know - Tap the lightbulb icon next to the Add Your Own Deed button to discover surprising facts about kindness and mental health. Learn how acts of kindness affect your brain, reduce stress, and help fight anxiety and depression. Each tap gives you a new fact. Over 280 million people worldwide suffer from depression and over 300 million deal with anxiety. These facts remind you that even the smallest good deed can have a real impact on someone who is struggling. You can keep tapping for more or dismiss whenever you like. Refreshed Layout - The header has been reorganized for a cleaner look. Your progress information including your current streak and status message now sits on its own line at the top. Below it you will find a row of quick-access icons for History, Nearby, Stats, Settings, and Share. This gives the main screen more breathing room and makes navigation easier at a glance. Add Your Own Deed - The button formerly known as Add a Good Deed has been renamed to Add Your Own Deed. This better reflects what it does, letting you add a personal act of kindness to your daily list alongside the suggested deeds. Mental Health Awareness - The Did You Know facts now include important statistics about mental health around the world. You will learn that one in four people will experience a mental health issue in their lifetime, that loneliness can be as harmful as smoking fifteen cigarettes a day, and that teens who help others are fifty percent less likely to develop depression later in life. These facts are designed to inspire action and remind you that kindness is not just nice to do but genuinely important for the well-being of everyone around you. Privacy and Security - The Nearby Kindness feature uses anonymous authentication. You do not need to create an account or share any personal information. Your data is protected by security rules that ensure only you can update or delete your own location. No one else can modify your information. If you turn off the feature your data is immediately removed. This update is all about connecting you with others, giving you knowledge that inspires action, and making the app easier and more enjoyable to use every day.
