In 2023, I was $57,000 in credit card debt. I tried budgeting apps, expense trackers, and Excel sheets. They helped a little, but something always felt missing. Here is how Cagni has helped me stay on budget. The app has two major features that make expense tracking simple: voice-to-expense tracking and recurring subscriptions. I use the voice control feature to quickly describe my expenses. For example, I can say something like “groceries $42” or “gas $65,” and Cagni helps turn that into a tracked expense. For recurring expenses, I can subscribe to a transaction, and Cagni recreates that expense for me going forward. Most of my expenses are recurring. They include rent, weekly train tickets, subscriptions, Netflix, Apple Music, and other services I pay for every month. Once I create them, I mark them as recurring expenses and never have to manually create them again. Cagni automatically recreates these recurring expenses, which makes tracking my monthly budget much easier.
