Description

When digital meets tabletop, it’s a scary good time. Produced by Micro Games of America™, Finders Creepers™ is the first game in its App-Vanced™ game line, where augmented reality and tabletop gaming meet. This companion app puts players in the role of paranormal hunters, who are tasked by their slightly maniacal “AI” assistant, Boogle™, to investigate haunted houses and rid them of the monsters hiding inside. Boogle™ teaches players how to play and gives them the tools to find and catch the monsters hiding on the board. But when too many haunted objects invade the board, the monsters will escape and haunt your house. In this Grand Escape AR event, players will use Boogle™ to blast the monsters in the real world and bring them back to the haunted house board. Be the first to find the creepers in this next evolution of gaming.

I wouldn’t recommend this board game if you don’t have the patience to do so, my reason is that there’s so many rule to go through, actually takes long to setup the board game with all of 2x2 squares inch but I would say when you roll the dice’s and got the escape dice it’s fun to play with the AI monster as you capture them on your device, this board game didn’t meet up to my expectations. 😔😒😔😒

This game is so much fun!! Definitely a little intimidating to start with all of the rules but once you play the first time it gets easier! (the video tutorial makes it easier as well if that helps) If it freezes, one person just has to close it and reopen it fast and it fixes itself. It was a spooky good time!

My husband and I are both really bummed out since we don’t get time to play games as it is, he bought me this game for my birthday and I was looking forward to playing it but the app won’t load from the “connecting” screen. We both have brand new iPhones that fully support the app we have tried the uninstall redownload thing and it’s not helping we did this about 10 times and I’m not able to take the game back for a refund because I already opened and set the game up Walmart says “it’s already been used” $25 that could have gone to something else that works is a bummer.

My son picked this board game out for his mom’s bday and was super excited for it but when we tried to play the app would not work at all. Tried all the troubleshooting suggestions and nothing worked. Tried playing the ‘off-line’ version but it was so over complicated that the kids got board very quick. Well I’d like to say that the work around worked to get this connected but unfortunately it doesn’t. My family was very excited about this game especially after watching the setup video…but the game disappointed majorly. We tried the non-digital game but it doesn’t hold a candle to what the digital gameplay would be like. How can we get the app to move on from the “Connecting” screen. We’ve tried uninstalling it, re-installing it, allow camera, don’t allow camera, and we all had our phones at 100%.

I bought this board game for my son because he loves ghostbusters and goosebumps so I figured this would be a fun game for us to play but can’t even play it because after you download the app you can’t get past the connection part to even get into the game to play. Waste of money and honestly wish I looked at reviews before I bought this game cause it seems like it’s been this way for awhile and the company is doing nothing about it to fix it. Non functional to functional
Was really excited for this game but stays on connecting screen. The game shouldn’t advertise the use of phones to make it immersive if it doesn’t work. It was a good idea but obviously lacks in execution. UPDATE!!: I deleted the app and redownloaded it, when it asked me for camera access I declined it and it loaded! I went back into my settings afterwards and toggled the camera access tab. I still haven’t played the full game but it seems to be working and I could see the monsters on the board with my phone.

Wouldn’t even give it one star - the game seems super cute but the app doesn’t work. We could never get past the initial connecting page. Super cute concept but the kids didn’t even want to play the non-app version since the whole reason we got it was the ability to find the monsters around the house with the phone. My son was so excited to play this game after receiving it as a Christmas gift. After we got the game set up, we downloaded and opened the app only to be extremely disappointed. The app constantly changed which player’s turn it was, often moving from one player to the next in the middle of someone’s turn. We got so discouraged within the first five minutes of play that we walked away from the game. Long story short-this game is a classic example of great idea, poor execution.
