• The new HSK 3.0 (2026) is getting closer We’re preparing Chinesimple for the next major HSK 3.0 vocabulary update. The new HSK 3.0 (2026) lists will replace the current HSK 3.0 (2021) lists, a transitional version that ultimately was never used in official exams. • New HSK 3.0 (2026) lists Many words will change level, and brand-new words never included in HSK before will also arrive. In addition, related content such as example sentences, lessons, and other study materials will be reorganized to better reflect the new vocabulary structure. • Your HSK 3.0 progress will adapt In the next app update, your HSK 3.0 progress will adjust to the new lists. Since some words and sentences will change level, your progress will adapt based on the content you have already completed. Your word lists will be kept, although words will show the level they currently belong to. • New content in preparation In this update, we’ve already added nearly 1,000 new native audios recorded by our team for words that will be part of HSK 3.0 (2026). We’re also creating new example sentences that we’ll add gradually to improve explanations and study of the new vocabulary. • New flashcards and visual improvements We’re creating new flashcard images for HSK 3.0 (2026) words and improving many current flashcards with a more polished style and a clearer representation of each meaning. We’ve also updated the flashcards you reported, and polished the visual style in all flashcard games. • Hanzi Writing Game improvements You can now choose between four writing styles: marker, fine brush, bamboo, and Chinese ink. The eye button also hides the word now, for a more challenging experience. A new help button has been added to show the next hanzi to write. September Update – Another boost to kick off the school year! Board Game now works better with your custom lists • You were absolutely right: if you're practicing with your own custom list, it makes way more sense that all the words in each round come from that list. From now on, that's exactly how it works in both Board Game and Flashcard Pair Game. If your list has fewer than 6 words, random words will be added (from the same level or mixed depending on your list). Even more improvements! • The stroke checker now correctly highlights the stroke you got wrong. Bingo went on vacation and left an AI in charge… but that didn’t go so well. • On macOS, both voice search in the dictionary and the Pronunciation Game now work! Just keep in mind: mic access is slower than on iPhone/iPad, so it might feel a bit less snappy.
