was hoping i could use this to help me with character design. turns out you can only make white men with it. waste of $5

This app is really helpful for artists for references! I just wish there were more diverse options for hair. For example, maybe there could be long hair added, more curly hairs like afro styles too. But besides that, this app is overall pretty good

It’s not worth the money, it doesn’t have any black hair styles and is all around a bad app.

However, it needs to be updated to include females. Also, you need to add more hairstyles and the ability to shorten or lengthen hair.

It doesn't put it exactly where it goes.

You can only get the result of a young person through this app. Don’t buy, not really worth it.

This app doesn’t include any accessories for example (hats,bandannas,scarfs,jewelry,tattoos,scar or anything) It should have categories like (age range 20-25 25-30 etc...) face variety ( long, small, oval, round wide, slim etc...) Nose (long, short, small, fat, flat, pointy etc....) Race (Hispanic, Caucasia, Black, Native, Asian etc....) I think everything should be in categories so it can be easier to find and choose and for the picture could be more accurate. The app needs more features then what I have mentioned, whoever created this app hopefully you can up grade it with this features I h

Easy to use, but there is no ability to add age to the faces, there should be a wrinkle setting. Also needs more hair options like a curly head of hair, dreadlocks, hats, ect..

The program worked great for the purpose I had in mind. I volunteer at science fairs with our CSI unit and this is one of the interactive stations. We also have a portable fuming hood and provide free finger printing and DNA for kids and teens. Because we use these (Man and Women) on an 12.9” iPad it is simple for the kids to play with it under our supervision. What I would love is the additions of hats, birthmarks, and some tattoos ; otherwise this program is perfect, especially the price

This app is quite entertaining, although it needs some hats such as a cowboy hat, beret, baseball cap, ext. they should also have an upper torso and at least one unibrow. It should also have a wide variety of chins, such as a butt chin and chin balls ( a.k.a family guy). All my family loves your app and I'm sure they'll love my suggestions, if you put them in your app. Thank you.

Why can I only make fair-skinned people? Also, what about freckles and beauty marks?

This app is for faces, why wouldn't it scale proportionately? When bored some time I pic a number and use all those parts to build a random face. And there are plenty of apps to distort. To the developers. As a caricature carver an app like this where you can distort parts unproportionally would be awesome! To first create a basic idea before cutting into expensive wood would be excellent. And help as a drawing practice tool for caricature artists as well.

I recently purchased both FlashFace Full and FlashFace Woman after hearing about the apps on one of my online writers' forums. It has been extremely useful (not to mention fun) to be able to "flesh out" the fictional characters in the stories I write. Much better than scouring the web for stock photos that match the images in my head. It's been helpful during the character development phase of my writing to think through exactly what I want the characters to look like, and how appearances and personalities interact. It's nice to have saved "photos" of the characters on my iPad that I can refer

You would think that a "full" version might at least mimic the functionality that is available on the web. There are no controls for transparency and scaling is strictly limited to proportional mode which severely limits customization. It would also be nice to allow some basic editing functions like erase, pencil, smudge, and filters would be a nice enhancement. At present, it is not even close to being worth $3.99. First app I wish I could get a refund for.

But the full version crashes on initial loading screen. Looks like I'm not the only one too. Do not purchase until a fix is issued. iPad 2 w iOS 5.0.1

Very nice. Maybe not exact faces, but close enough to resemble intended. Need more hair styles.
