Do not rely on hide scores
Update: They fixed the issue below, but are still spoiling games because the hide options setting will sometimes randomly toggle off when you open a game to watch it. They’ve ruined multiple western conference finals for me at this point, and that’s honestly inexcusable. This app has one of the worst user experiences I’ve ever had the displeasure of having to endure, 1 star is all it deserves and if I could give it negative stars I would. App is generally fine. Good but confusing still
I get they want to stay on trend and relative but it’s really a mess now. The vertical screen stuff is just inundated with ads. Also, when that bar at the top of the screen appears to let you know the progress through the montage there’s no way of knowing what will happen if you touch the screen. You can skip an ad but then you’re on probation. Touch the screen again and they jettison you no matter what your progress. Awful experience trying to watch games this year
You guys are awful you just ruined the experience for fantasy season and you’re still doing this garbage in the playoffs which makes it even worse. The game is on prime so I paused it and took a walk now I come home and I can’t watch the game at all anymore. For some insulting reason there’s only a Spanish broadcast available. And then when I click on my NBA it’s ruining the score of game seven on the home screen even though I have the app set to not show spoilers. This app is amazing for any NBA fan! I can watch live games, check scores instantly, and stay updated with everything happening around the league. Worst app and customer service I’ve ever experienced
First of all Apple Store keeps deleting my review. Second I get blacked out of games I shouldn’t be blacked out of. I’m a bulls fan living in Ohio. The only games I should be blacked out of are Cavs games and bulls games on national tv. Thats never the case I regularly get blacked out from games. They ask me to reinstall the app. Delete my cache. I do everything they ask. They ask for screen shots of your ip address, home address - shouldn’t they have this information if they are blacking my streams out? Lots of great content!
I love this app! It’s so much more than just schedules and stats which is what I expected. I love all of the extra stuff on here. There are the highlights and interviews and videos of the various players helping to support each other and their communities. This app is definitely my go-to for all NBA info including injury reports, game schedules, and upcoming events. My fav part though is the opportunity for any basketball fan to learn so much more about the NBA and its players as people and individuals all in one place. Keep up the good work!

App is okay for checking scores but don’t plan on being able to watch games.
For $17/month you can watch about 25% of the games your favorite team plays and they aren’t the ones worth watching. The NBA ruined watching basketball because you need 5 different streaming services, the league pass, and cable, but there’s still a chance you can’t watch them. I have one team I like to watch but it’s a waste of money paying for something that gives you nothing of value. If you’re looking to see what the score is for a game I suppose the app works, but as an organization that needs viewers to survive it’s the dumbest thing imaginable. Capitalism Strikes Again!!
This app is alright. There are really frustrating bugs like the app pushing notifications about an awesome play and then when you click on the notification it takes you to the homepage and you have to go find the highlight it should’ve linked to. And Apple Play being finicky. It’s also increasingly frustrating buying their yearly subscription, which they advertise to be ad-free but show you ads anyways. Endless bugs
Update: The mobile app and Apple TV app are still buggy and crash constantly. BUT breaking news I just downloaded the Samsung TV app and it’s even buggier and crashed after 30 minutes of use. Of course the game doesn’t resume from the point you left, because why not create the worst possible experience for its users. The NBA show fire the entire development team and start from scratch. This app is a complete disgrace. Not just for the NBA but for humanity. This app and moreover the Apple TV app are hands down the most buggy apps I ever encountered. App constantly fails to recognize credentials
Every other day that I open the app to watch a game it tries to sell me league pass which I’ve already paid for. Sometimes clearing the cache and data or deleting the app fixes the problem. Which means you have to scan QR codes and sign in all over again and all preferences are cleared and you are showed scores which might not want to have seen. Other times you have to call customer service to have them restore credentials which means staying on the phone at least 15 mins. I’ve had to do that 4 or 5 times now and I’ve only watched about 15 games. Worst functioning app of all time. Same problem

Too Many Issues
I’ve been an NBA subscriber for years. Persistent issues with their app constantly log me out and/or crash the app entirely, always causing me to miss significant minutes from games on the regular. I’ve finally had it; Rather than streaming games broadcasting on NBA TV tonight, like usual, the NBA App only gives me the option to watch via the ‘NBA TV App’. Ridiculous to think people will continue paying more money each year for a service that requires multiple unreliable apps. The past half hour of my life messing with these apps was more inconvenient than going to a bar and watching there.

The price of League Pass goes up but the quality does not improve
I’ve had NBA League Pass for three seasons and as the price increased for the premium subscription, it quality still remains to match the “Premium” price tag. The app consistently dubs audio from a different game or from a few minutes ago, not matching the video. When it doesn’t struggle with audio, the game video will lag so bad that the game looks like it’s being played in a stop motion style. An Accessibility Request
Last spring I wrote in to your support team about an issue. This was resolved partially. It is a very strait forward and simple request. When a push notification comes from the app, no sound plays and there is no haptic alert either with one exception, you did activate this feature for alerts involving an end of game result alert. Any important games are limited in some way or just not viewable. Even if you upgrade your plan. The whole playoffs were barely viewable. The NBA schedule is oversaturated with trivial games most nights, too many to keep up with, and any games with importance won’t be viewable. Main attraction of the app I’d say are tanking teams. It’s somewhat surprising to see so much positive feedback. This app lacks convenience. This has been an ongoing problem that still hasn’t been corrected. This is one of the worst apps I’ve ever been on. Constantly crashing, rotating my phone and draining power at an insane rate (IPhone 15 pro with no issues with any other apps). When I do manage to get on the app the layout is not intuitive at all as it is obvious the app is just trying to increase my time viewing advertisements. Don’t even bother trying to watch the game with the video player. I can’t even get it to work for the teams that aren’t blacked out other than a few seconds before it crashes. Im trying to watch the NBA playoffs on this app and I paid for the league pass which I feel dumb for because there is very little value for $25 a month. Needs resume from last play feature
Can you please add a resume from last play option to the AppleTV app? Sometimes the app crashes or I can only watch part of a game, and when I come back I have to restart from the beginning. Fast forwarding from the beginning means I have to watch every unskippable ad, which is infuriating. Awesome to check scores and I love the little titles that summarize each game on the home screen, but I’d like to see more again. Bring back the lead tracker. Bring back the biggest point margin for either team. Bring back lead changes and times tied stats. These stats were a lot more helpful to tell how the game went rather than what the final result was. This app is awesome it allows me to watch any game that’s not in my area the only issue that I constantly have is when I am watching a game on my phone and I try and switch between games with the “Games” tab. When I switch games with this tab it does not always get rid of the last game that I was watching and plays them on top of each other. The only way I have been able to get rid of the other one is if i completely change the game by leaving the game and canceling out of it to move on to another.
