Ich bin seit Jahren Besitzer des Plex Pass, aber das, was in letzter Zeit mit dieser App passiert, lässt mich gerade Alternativen suchen. Allen voran sind Downloads eine riesige Baustelle. In den „guten alten Zeiten“ habe ich vor einer Reise schnell ein paar Medien in die Download-Queue geworfen und konnte unterwegs offline gucken. Heute funktioniert nichts mehr reibungslos - Medien mit DTS-Ton werden gar nicht mehr abgespielt (Bug seit über einem Jahr offen, interessiert den Entwickler nicht), Downloads stecken oft in der Queue fest obwohl nichts anderes dort drin ist und 10x soviel Speicher

Es ist eine absolute Frechheit vorher die App geldlich anzubieten und man bezahlt 4,99 € und jetzt verlangt man zwei Euro monatlich Abo oder 22,99€ jährlich. Damit hat sich das erledigt für mich plex ist für mich gestorben innerhalb der Community sehen das fast alle so. Und viele Switch auf Jellyfin. Ich kann es auch nur empfehlen. Life time Lizenz ist auf 250€ von 69€ erhöht worden. Finger weg !

Früher hatte die App eine gute offline Funktion. Jetzt kann ich zwar Inhalte Downloaden. Wenn ich allerdings die Mediatheken aufrufe wird trotzdem gestreamt. Die App wird immer schlimmer. Nach der katastrophalen Entscheidung, eine gute App wegzuwerfen und durch eine neue, aber instabile und unvollständige App zu ersetzen, gibt es nun immer wieder updates. Aufgezwungener Content
Eigentlich bin (oder war) ich immer ein Fan von Plex. Eine App, die alle Medien von meiner lokalen Platte vereint. Über die Jahre wurde man schon gezwungen separate Apps wie Plexamp (für Musik) und Proloqe (audiobooks) zu benutzen, sofern man zeitgemäß unterhalten werden wollte, aber zumindest gab es weiterhin die Möglichkeit auf diese Bibliotheken zuzugreifen, ohne Zwang zur Nutzung weiterer Apps. Seit dem letzten Plex Update kann man aus der iOS App nicht mehr auf Musik, Audiobooks und auch nicht mehr auf Fotos zugreifen. Alles nur noch in separaten, kostenpflichtigen Apps möglich. Daneb

Früher top, jetzt nur noch Frust!
Seit der Umstellung des Plex-Abos Anfang des Jahres und den vielen Updates ist die App einfach nur katastrophal. Serienfolgen starten nicht, brechen mittendrin ab oder laden gefühlt ewig (SD-Folgen hängen, während 4K problemlos läuft — völlig absurd!). Außerdem merkt sich Plex den Fortschritt oft falsch und springt ständig auf alte Folgen zurück. Statt entspannt zu schauen, sucht man sich einen Wolf. Ich war anfangs begeistert und habe mir extra den Plex Pass geholt — aber so macht das überhaupt keinen Spaß mehr. Schade!

Diese App bietet eine Sammlung von Filmen, die mit Sicherheit allen Beteiligten, Schauspielern sowie Regisseuren im Nachhinein peinlich sind. Irgendwie funktioniert die App noch, aber die Benutzererfahrung hat sich deutlich verschlechtert. Ich kann ja nachvollziehen, wenn ein remote Zugriff auf die eigene Mediathek nicht dauerhaft kostenlos bleibt. Die app war mal klasse, man konnte sich eine einmal subscription holen die dafür sorgte dass man seine mobilen Geräte zum streamen von außen nutzen konnte, diese hat aber mit der neuen version seine Gültigkeit verloren, was ich als Vertragsbruch sehe. Ist halt schade dass plex mit steigender Popularität nun auch auf den zug der Geldgier aufspringt und sogar eigentlich gültige Activations einfach verbannt. Bin da hingehen echt sauer und denke ich wechsel bald auf jellyfin

Neue Version nicht zu gebrauchen
Seit dem neuen Redesign der App funktioniert nichts mehr. Live TV geht gar nicht mehr, HDR Filme werden nicht mehr angespielt, alle anderen Videos stottern beim Abspielen. Zudem gibt es häufige Abstürze. Ich bin jetzt zu Jellyfin gewechselt und alles funktioniert wieder wie gewünscht. Schade, dass eine zuvor perfekte App so kaputt entwickelt wird.
