Not wired for mobile
I subscribed to Wired magazine and have read recent editions on my iPhone. I am enjoying the edgy visual graphics and funky layout as well as the variety of topics and quality of writing. But I find the layout difficult to read on mobile devices. The text is not always formatted for a phone screen and I either need to zoom in to read or scroll to access the next part of a column.

Cannot Sign In
I set up my account properly on the website and have subscribed successfully. However, when I downloaded the app, I couldn’t sign in with the my account. It just kept denying me and said subscription not found. THE WORST APP EVER !!!

Grossly overpriced compared to their website pricing (where you can also get access to the magazine via the app). Support has been useless. App is shockingly basic, hard to believe it was made by a tech mag. I don’t usually leave reviews, but can’t help myself this time. A total disappointment. Do not buy this.

Unreadable headlines & missing content
Recent issues include numerous articles where headline and subhead type unintentionally overlaps itself and/or unintentionally overlaps graphics and body copy, thereby making that text unreadable on the iPhone. Also , I am seeing missing content. For example, in the latest issue, the article “Hazardous Waste” says “here’s a timeline of all the successful missile launches and the debris they created.” However, there is no further content beneath that. The two significant problems described above lead me to question whether anyone at Wired is proofreading/testing the iPhone version of the app.

In the app, 1. Navigation is not intuitive (that is, going back to the table of contents and back to the list of issues) 2. Does not support a landscape mode 3. Does not support different font sizes (that’s right, you can neither increase the font size nor rotate the screen to make the font bigger) 4. Does not support a side-by-side mode for apps Come on, guys. If I wanted to read Wired as a paper journal, I would grab a paper journal version.

I like to keep all the issues, because there are articles meant to be read more than once 💖 But today, even if my settings are for NEVER delete any magazine and I have lot of room , 512 Gb, they were missing because “Not enough room” ?! Please don’t do that and yes landscape mode would very much appreciated. Thanks
