Based on the international best selling golf book, Tour Tempo. The book outlines and explains the discovery of a specific mathematical ratio regarding the elapsed time of the backswing and the elapsed time of the downswing of the Tour Pros. The Tour Tempo System is simple and easy to learn. All you do is react to three scientifically spaced musical notes. These musical notes alert you to start your takeaway, start your downswing, and then the third note lines you up with impact. It’s just that easy - you literally download the app, turn it on, grab a club and start swinging to the Tempo of the Tour Pros.
LONG GAME
The Long Game Tones will teach you how to swing with the tempo ratio exhibited by the Tour Pros. We measured the time of their backswings and downswings by counting how many frames of video each part took. The magic ratio on full swings turned out to be three parts backswing to one part downswing. Tones are provided for each of the following frame ratios of Tour Tempo - 18/6, 21/7, 24/8 & 27/9. The Tour Tempo Tones have a clear purpose. They establish the intrinsic tempo of the golf swing in your subconscious mind. Once this is accomplished, you will not have to think about tempo while playing. This is what the Tour Pros have already done. You are about to acquire that same ability.
SHORT GAME
The Total Game App also contains the Short Game Tones of 14/7, 16/8, 18/9 & 20/10. After the publication of Tour Tempo, John Novosel studied the short game swings of the top touring pros, and discovered that virtually all of them employ a 2 to 1 swing ratio on or around the greens - a different Tempo than the 3 to 1 ratio of the Long Game. This is another reason why the game of golf is so hard to master.
TEMPO TRACKS
The Tempo Tracks are an easy way to integrate Tour Tempo into your daily routine. One of the best ways to use the Tracks is to listen to them while driving to the course before a round of golf. The more you listen to them, the more the Tour Tempo rhythm will be ingrained into your Golf Swing.

I’ve used this app for over a year and it has been great! But recent updates added a force login process to the app, which makes this app complete UNUSABLE at my range with NO NETWORK coverages! Please, at least add an OFFLINE button when the login times out? I’m sure there will be many people using this app in simulator room with poor network and may suffer the same issue. Thanks!

First round- finally broke 80
First time I ever had the bright idea to bring this app to the course, I broke 80 (78).
I had been chasing it for a year. I knew it was in range because I have a sim at home, been grinding getting a lot of swings but the course it would break down.
My coach said tempo and rhythm are the only things that matter on game day but his “one two hit four five” thing didn’t really lock it in for me.
Found the 27/9 to be my speed and first round out there with it in my ear I tagged 12 GIR

Tour Tempo
The Tour Tempo app has completely transformed the way I practice and play. I always knew tempo mattered, but this app finally gave me a simple, reliable way to train it. Very useful tool. Frees up the swing and does what is advertised. The only (meaningless) qualm I will add, is the creator (and his dad) claiming to invent/find out about tour tempo. I know for a fact Snead taught by waltz time and discussed pros long before him doing it. Waltz’s are in 3/4 (3 beats per measure, takeaway on 1, top of the swing 3, impact 1), and is quite literally this exact same idea long before. Nothing new in golf! Great app I will be using religiously.

Great training aid
I have never reviewed an app, but I had to say that Tour Tempo has been great. Finding the right tempo and focusing on the tones has helped me a lot. After 30 min I noticed that I was making better contact and my footwork was improved. I think it’s because my brain only had to focus on the tones and everything else came naturally. Yuge Game Improver
This app pays for itself in your first round just in the balls you save. I had a wicked slice and I have been trying everything under the sun to hit the ball straight. I warmed up using the swing tempo and then hit the course. Having a consistent tempo on your swing helps take out all of the variables, and by doing so it corrected my slice and increased my distance.

Rediscovered
My sons pro gave him a copy of the Tour Tempo book probably 17 years ago. I was struggling a couple years ago and read it for myself. I was happy to see the app and have used it regularly since then.
My favorite use was the Frame Counter app which is now part of Tour Tempo. It is so much better than slomo on my cell phone.
Nothing can I about the UI and it would be great to have some metrics tracking use over time.

Good golly miss Molly!!! I have spent thousands of dollars over 40 years on all kinds of gadgets, swing improvements. You name it - I’ve like spent money on it. As I was approaching 50, I committed to getting my HC from 12 to scratch. After thousands on lessons and ~500 balls a day, I got to 4.6, suffering subsequent injuries that has now limited the amount I can play or practice. Not Everyone is a 2:1 Putting
(Scratch player, very good ball striker, average putter (not because of tempo)
This years focus for me is working on a consistent tempo. For me chipping the ball I’m right at a 2:1 tempo. Putting I’m a 1:6:1. With that being said, it’s disappointing you cannot change tempo’s in the app depending on your needs.
I wouldn’t buy the app until you know what your basic tempo(s) are and know you will work until you’re a 2:1 with all your short game. If your using it to smooth out your stroke and keep it consistent at something other than a 2:1 tempo this app is not for you.
