••• Check out Bookends - PubMed On Tap's big brother ••• PubMed On Tap searches PubMed and PubMed Central to find, display, and import reference information and PDFs of the full article (requires access privileges). You can search your personal reference library, organize your references in groups (static and smart), and email references from your device to yourself or others in a form suitable for reading or importing into other reference management apps. Many features are optimized for reference retrieval and management (advanced boolean searches, search for Full Text or Free Full text, recall recent searches, etc.).

Please refund. Thank you. Edit 2021-5-10: Per developer’s response pubmed search does now work to a degree. However, this app is missing some of the most useful features from pubmed including similar articles, cited by, mesh terms, etc. And, while I can tag an article with a color, it doesn’t seem that I can actually save articles with any sort of useful tags / labels. I could be missing something, but I don’t see the point of this app, given that its search capabilities are inferior to the pubmed website and filing capabilities are limited.

Useless - Can’t select best match
I downloaded this app after reading some good reviews about it. However, when I opened it, I found that I couldn’t set it to sort the articles in PubMed based on the best match, only as “recently added“ or “publication date”. Probably because of that, the search was horrible at finding a match for my query. Completely useless for me at this point. Very disappointed.

I barely use PubMed in a browser on my computer anymore. This is a very thoughtful and well-designed app. In terms of browsing and reading abstracts it cannot be best - and makes it very easy to do a very quick searches & saving of relevant papers that can be explored more in-depth later. I highly recommend it.

Mobile vs Desktop?
Just paid $1.99 for an app that - yes - is mobile friendly, and well organized for the convenience of searching with my phone, but to just get the same results Google provides me on my normal internet browser... I got a list full of articles that only included abstracts, and maybe 5% of them included full text. What am I paying for exactly? I understand that articles are expensive to view at full, but what am I benefiting from with this app, if it does nothing but give me the same results Google does, and doesn’t allow any privileges past viewing an abstract? Nice they added an app version, but needs a bit more.
I love the web version and really like they came out with the app, but it feels like its still in beta testing and needs more features. For example, you can't filter by reviews, or filter at all for that matter. Would be nice if they added the filter and advanced search options to the app version.

Powerful and easy to use
This seems to be the best dedicated app for PubMed. It has a powerful search syntax and clearly shows which articles are FullText or FullText Free (assuming PubMed hasn't mislabeled them). You can either save articles to the built-in library or save out the pdfs to the pdf reader of your choice. I can't think of any way this app could be improved!

Very Good Little App!
This is a very good app for accessing Pub Med. I found it both powerful and easy to use. It needs a little tweaking, though. It would be an excellent app if (1) you could sort the library by author, date, publication type etc. A multi-tiered sort function would be ideal; and (2) if you could create more than one library within the app itself or at least do so using Endnote. However, these are minor deficiencies that do not detract from the overall value of the app.
