Google Earth

Using ipad, new version removes the ability to zoom in on photos of restaurants, hotels, airports, etc. It also shows all (usually 20) photos first, then when you select the first one to view as slide show, there is a white bar at both top and bottom of screen, making the image space smaller. The previous version also included the English name of a place, so if the label was in Arabic, you got both, the English and the Arabic, now you only get the Arabic. Again, losing the ability to pinch to zoom in and out in the "place pics" is huge. This update is terrible for ipad users.

I love this app for making kml files and doing research but the bugs make it really hard to use. Whenever I place a pin, It often crashes when saving color, pin size or label size changes, completely freezing the screen. The pins glitch in size as well, sometimes getting larger when clicked and not going back to their original size, leading to inconsistent pin size even when all are set to small. Finally, the map never loads in full quality and is almost always super low quality after a few minutes of using this app. Overall a good app but definitely needs some major fixes.

I never ever want them to get lost if they ever ever get lost and I can just tell them where they are on the call or something and then they can just tell me where they are liking go to Google Earth and track where they where they’re going. Hi! First of all, I LOVE this app so much! But there is one problem, whenever I want to see like, a big building or a specific house, it is really blurry. Please fix this🙏🏻 secondly, the thing I love about this app is that I can see places I go to all the time! Before I got this app, I didn’t know what the places that I go to sometimes look from above! So, if you’re reading these reviews before you decide if you want to get the app or not, I TOTALLY recommend getting this app! So, if you want to examine the earth from above, you should definitely go download this app!

Well Google earth is great and all, but there is a problem. Actually, two problems. First, Google earth doesn’t have any real big cities. This is what I’m asking. Google earth should look up “Top 100 tallest buildings in the world.” Ok, then pick the top 30 cities and make them 3D. Second, Google earth hasn’t updated in a while. Yes, it does update sometimes, but not a lot. So yeah, that is my request and review-ish. Pls do the request.

I like how you can actually find your own house, but the thing is sometimes it just doesn’t show present day or maybe all the time it doesn’t show present day make it so that it’s always present day right now. I know that my parents aren’t home. But the thing is I like how they don’t reveal license plates. This app might actually be a good one, but still it doesn’t show present day which makes everything annoying if you want to know if your mom and dad are home.

No, not the “convenience”, the cache. Periodically delete and reinstall this app. I use Google Earth a great deal; it’s not hard to accumulate an enormous cache. When it gets too large, performance degrades significantly. Since there’s no “clear cache” tool, you have to delete and reinstall the app. Ignore the dire warning that “all data will be deleted”; your placemarks etc. remain untouched. Takes only a minute to clean house this way.

Sharp Shark Here! I want you guys to uhh. add the Editor button. What You Can Do on The Editor Button: Make Countries Use Editor button and press Country button. It will turn on an ai that makes your own countries. When asked to make one which uhh, is landlocked. It will generate it for you! ETA: I fixed the problem of the black screen on Google Earth by deleting the app and reinstalling. Everything is fine now. Original problem: App is not loading on my iPad Pro 4th Generation on iOS 18. I updated the app to the latest version and it will not load. The only thing I see is a black/dark screen.

When I go to other places in 3d coverage, like Aztec, New Mexico or Lake Ozark, Missouri the buildings and etc do not show as 3rd-dimensional. This app still wouldn't be terrible, but the last issue I have to explain is that Satellite keeps getting blurry due to internet speed and etc, though fixing it may be hard.

Can be used for many purposes and can give you detailed images of many places is also useful for identifying plant species that you know the location of but don’t have photos of. It can be used to map out trips from one place to another. It is also owned by Google which doesn’t shove Ai and ads down your throat like other companies.

Ever, since the most recent update has been made, I have had a pretty annoying problem when I zoom in and out after using the program for about 10 minutes. Initially, the resolution of the textures would appear clean and high quality as usual. Later however, no matter what zoom level I was at, the textures became very blurry and blotchy. The textures on the 3D structures were also effected. The only place that remained clean was the area I was just observing. Either the app needs a bit of fixing, or it’s just a problem that is only present while using the app on my tablet.

This app is nostalgic from 1st Grade and is really fun in general, my brother always teases me about it but I do not give a thing. This app has some things I do wish I could change a little, one, after 10-ish minutes or so, the app gets all blurry and it’s slightly annoying but I can always close the app then open it back up. When I was trying to zoom out the screen froze for a second and my screen turned purple and whoever is talking about the quality of the picture… I don’t know what to say anymore lol and just don’t know this is my first google app I have ever downloaded. Also I can’t say anymore about the app and it has a cool feature that it can show where you are if you press a random button idk what it is and this is my first time using a google app and I am so happy I can use this app forever. I rate this 5star because well it so awesome shows you things just one teeny weeny beeny problem. I used to LOVE sitting outside, relaxing and exploring the world with GE. I have excellent WiFi, yet lately GE starts off sharp and clean, then even zooming back in on what WAS 30 seconds ago sharp imaging, is now blurry and totally useless. It’s maddening! I’ve tried everything from clearing cache (fixes for a minute at most) to deleting the app and reinstalling, turning off as many advanced setting as possible in the app, and nothing helps. So disappointing that such a revolutionary and potentially incredible learning tool is now such a wasted mess.

I was trying to see if this one apartment complex was fully built, and it only looked half built from this app. I wasn’t feeling too sure of the results so I decided to use my address and see if the skyscraper they put up next to me, was even on the map and isn’t. Something that’s been up for construction almost 2 years. Doesn’t even show anything on the map. This thing is very old and outdated. This is a major city too, so it should be taking aerial photos more often

I have tried over and over again to request an update to satellite imaging of my home! It’s nearly 10 years since an actual change in satellite imagery. The historical date shows October 2019 but it’s the same image as 2015. The landscape has since changed, the house has been remodeled, there’s a new pool.. I can’t use any geofencing collars because the imagery is so old - they don’t work !! I tried Halo 4 and SpotOn because we’re located about 6 miles from town. We aren’t out in the boondocks. I’ve been using this app for a long time and it the satellite photos and also the updates keeps on getting better but the update in 2025 that makes it look like Apple Maps changed on thing; the 3D features didn’t make things 3D— so what I mean is that 2D and 3D are just the same thing but 3D is tilted. But at least the hills are now green in more places. But still pls bring the old 3D feature🥺🙏🏻.(Or else it’s all fine)

In my previous review, I said that I’d like for the option to turn back time on the satellite imagery from the desktop version to be added to mobile—and now it has! You have no idea how much I love this feature, and now that I can use it on my phone instead of needing my computer, it’s even better. Now, if they only allowed you to turn back the time in street view… Edit: They now have! It’s amazing.

This app is so simple and user friendly! It really is great for looking at locations and exploring. The only thing I do not love about it is the pin feature, I often have wanted to mark a path or run to see the distance but have often gave up because the pins are pretty annoying and time consuming. I wish you could just draw a line and see the distance instead of having to place a pin scroll and place another pin. Overall it’s great and very useful!

I like it because it’s 3D but for a few reasons I don’t like it because 100 Thomas Springs Road Belmont NC needs to be changed to Mount Holly NC and 108,104,101, and 105 and also I like what you did at Forney Creek at Sally’s YMCA the bridge and creek but I don’t like the way the lower tents are and at assembly and at the garden tents by the archery and the shades by the Gaga pit and also at the lower tents and also I really need 3D not 2D for Stanley NC but 3D for it and when 3D buildings are turned off it will look like Stanley NC and I really need 2D for historical imagery.

I understand having that as an option, but it’s absurd and useless to have that be the only option. Is this app only for pan-linguists? Google earth is an amazing feature and helps you really explore and get to know the earth better! For years I was curious as to what the area around my house looked like before it was built. In 2023 they released the Timelapse feature, which really didn’t help at all. But a couple months ago they released the historical imagery feature, which gave me HIGH RESOLUTION photos dating back to 1993! Really amazing work.
