Description
Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK) her türlü araştırmayı devlet adına yapmakla yükümlü olan Türkiye’nin resmi istatistik üreticisi kurumudur. Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu’nun temel görevi; ülkenin ihtiyaç duyduğu alanlarda veri ve bilgilerin derlenmesini, gerekli istatistiklerin üretilmesini, yayımlanmasını ve dağıtımını yapmaktır. TÜİK ilgili bireylerden, hanelerden veya işyerlerinden araştırmalar ve sayımlar yoluyla verileri toplar, bu verileri analiz eder ve istatistiki bilgi haline dönüştürür. Bu istatistiki bilgiler, toplumun her kesiminde karar alma aşamalarında güvenilir yol göstericilerdir. Ayrıca, verilerin hangi tanım, yöntem, kapsam ve sınıflama kullanılarak hangi kurum tarafından, hangi sıklıkta derleneceği ve yayınlanacağı bilgilerini içeren Resmi İstatistik Programı’nı kurum/kuruluşlar ile koordineli olarak hazırlayarak programda yer alan faaliyetlerin izleme ve değerlendirmesini hazırlar.
Pek çok hane ve işyeri anketini bilgisayar destekli programlar aracılığıyla derleyen TÜİK, çeşitli çalışmalarda ise cep telefonu uygulaması üzerinden de anket gerçekleştirmektedir.
