Description

Balloon Nav is a full featured GPS mapping and live track sharing app that has all the tools you need to get the most out of your flying. The live track sharing feature allows you to share your flight and receive the flight data from up to 8 others. The app has the full capabilities for loading kml overlays and waypoints, online/offline maps, drawing over the map, setting navigation lines, dropping markers and clicking the track line to get the GPS data. There is a robust database backend that stores the settings and track files for later (great for logbooks). There is a piball reader function that allows sharing readings with your tracking group and a met wind data plotter. In addition there is a load calculator, and as an extra purchase an addon bluetooth barometric altitude module available. Please be advised that the majority of this app will not be accessible without an in-app purchase of a monthly subscription. * A new flight winds tool! On the right side icons (3rd up from the bottom there is a new icon), it will bring up a table with your flight winds, (Altitude, Speed, Direction). The direction arrows are coloured the same as the piball lines and windsplot lines (by altitude) customise the colours in the windsplot (far right 9th from top). The table will update itself when open roughly every 12 seconds and every time you reopen it and has a best left (up to 90 degrees) and best right (up to 90 degrees) button based on your current track heading. *The new flight winds icon has necessitated moving the waypoints name toggle icon from the right side to the inner left * The group tracking box will now auto scroll to the data when you click on the track ID (much nicer to use :-) ) *New reposition (top left) and resize (bottom right) light grey mini icons for the four information windows

New features for KML files KML overlay files will now colour the waypoint based on the description tag, put "PZ, SZ or LL-" in the description tag for red, yellow or green dots. There is also a new button on the right side to turn the KML waypoint name text on and off (default is off). Very large files will render a bit slower with the names on. These improvements meant moving the metric grid overlay button to the left side icons.

A new easy to read dashboard with fluid layout resizing. Try resizing it across the top of your screen, or down the side, or as a box, it will adapt. Any items that don't fit in your dimensions will overflow and can be scrolled to with a finger slide. The resizing handle is in the bottom right corner and the repositioning handle in the top left. If you want bigger text increase the tracking font size in the settings panel on the far 4th down on the far left. The vario data will only work with the add-on Balloon Nav barometric altitude module.
