In this game you need so many gems to get basic cards that will allow your deck to even stand a minimum chance at getting a win. This game is focus entirely on money and nothing else. There is no way in possible for new players to enjoy y the game or play causal like I like to do and this is sad because yugioh is not entirely about competition it is in truely about fun and this game has lost all focus on that. It is also ridiculous how there are no tier systems in this game to combat newbies or causal player from encountering one turn ending duel decks that is not fun to deal with. Especially

Sweats ruin the events
Events with limited-time restrictions used to be gem mines, but now they are torture chamber to grind for titles. First, restrictions are too generous. They used to be links only, xyzs only or such, but now they are links + xyzs + fusions and such nonsenses, and have become breeding grounds for sweats with optimized semi-meta decks and 3rd party websites like master duel meta accelerate this tragedy. PLEASE READ. These reviews are fake. No way people enjoy getting negated and slaughtered by “duelists” using “get anything you want on the first turn” structure decks that Konami made and Master Duel decided to GIVE them. No such thing as Heart of the Cards anymore. 1% of players actually explore the cards and build decks. Algorithmic pattern is poorly designed
So basically anyone who works a computer knows is that true randomness is impossible on a computer because every computer that does number generation relies on an algorithm to do so. and let me tell you guys I cannot tell you how many times I draw my one of card in 40 card deck… 8 times in a row. Kanami really needs to do some draw testing in their support department and think about altering or changing their algorithm for which cards are drawn because it is busted. Data transfer nightmare
I haven’t played master duel in probably 6 months. I recently upgraded my iPhone and updated master duel yesterday. Once the update was done, it completely made me start from scratch and even made me do the tutorials. It’s no biggie I thought, maybe I need the old iPhone and do a data transfer from there. I’ve been playing this game with my friends for years and I’ve lost an account before but the process for linking an Id is so bad that it was still linked to my old account I ditched last year that I didn’t even start because I was mad about my old account being lost. Data recovery complication
The game is awesome, the data recovery part is complicating tho, I had all my stuff and I assumed it woulda been easy as too re-install the game and it remembering you and giving you an option too regain your data but you have to manually go to “data transfer” and it gives you an option of have your data transfer from “Game Center” and “Komi id” so I click Game Center because as soon as I open the game I got a icon notification of it saying welcome back “player name” so I was like oh so it does remember but when I click on Game Center transfer it tells me I have too be signed in to the account

Super fun! I wish there was a separate app or mode for classic fans like with battle city rules or something. I downloaded this app after seeing a clip of the old anime on social media then watching a few episodes. I played this for a while now and it was more for nostalgia as I never followed this games new rules as I played older dual monsters. If you don’t know how to play by these new rules you will hate this game. Online players all use super decks that you can never catch up too. The computer is a giant cheat. There’s so much to love about Master Duel. The User Interface is so simple to navigate, the animations gorgeously bring the cards to life, and the solo mode fills you in on the archetype backstory in a way never seen before. PERFECT GAME! This got me back into the game but I have a suggestion for it. Why don’t we add a card scanner that will give us the card we scan for 50 gems? Starting to get the idea of every hand being rigged because there’s slim to no chance I should draw the same 3 cards for 4 duels straight when each card is only 1 of in my deck. And the pack pulls I have been getting lately have drastically declined with receiving Ultra Rare cards to maybe 1 sometimes 2 to 3 very rarely that 2 to 3 happens now. I used to remember how fun it was to play duel monsters. Have a nice session of a game, put strategy behind your plays to combat your opponent…. I was excited to be able to duel online and have fun with people. But the dueling is not fun what so ever. I love this game it makes it accessible for someone who uses it because it gives a nice nostalgic feeling from my childhood but recently I’ve noticed a lot more bots being added to the game I dont know if the game is losing a player base or what but the bots don’t even do anything they play 1 or two cards and summon whatever monster is in there hand. I love this game and I’ve been playing it since release, but I don’t understand how anyone could think having the Mulcharmies and Maxx “C” at the same time is a good idea. The Mulcharmies, while strong, are very well designed cards that are meant to replace Maxx “C”. You must prepare and play around Fuwalos; you can’t Extra Deck spam while under it. Being able to play around Fuwalos is what makes it a well-designed card. Maxx “C” does not give this leeway to decks that don’t have an answer to it. Game is great! True, pure yugioh with 98% of all cards in existence in the game. The user interface is great, with next to no bugs. The animations are clean and high resolution. On top of all this, the game file size is reasonable for the sheer amount of content within the game. I love the game so far just downloaded it last night had an itch to play to yu-gi-oh. After around 100 hours spent on this game both on PC and iOS and I can confidently say whoever is in charge is a loser in real life. Every new deck that comes out is more busted than the next. Interactions that don’t happen in the regular TCG are forced on you in the mobile game. Matchmaking will pair you up with the same person multiple time (I’ve experienced having to duel the same person in casual 3+ times while they use a deck that ends the game turn one off coin flip who gets to go first). Terrible Match Making & Deck Building
I keep getting put up against people who summon 3000+ attack damage in the first turn. It’s incredibly unbalanced and impossible to play against. Especially for people like me who only recently got back into the game.
