I am releasing many exciting changes to the Kibik keyboard today! • New feature: long-press the space bar and move your finger left or right to move the cursor. It works anywhere the space bar appears. • New: redesigned the pages for selecting fonts, symbols, kaomojis, organizers, and more. • New: added a sticky bottom toolbar to all screens. • Organized fonts into categories and removed the old menu. • Added several new fonts, reorganized them, and improved existing ones. • Made more fonts and symbols free forever. • Increased the number of free auto-paste texts. • Implemented new dismissible alerts instead of the old locked views. • Added many new fonts, symbols, and kaomojis. • Fixed in auto-paste: you will now see alerts when Full Access is not enabled or when you have too many saved texts. • If you have not enabled Full Access, the keyboard now warns you when you tap a button that should open the app. • Improved how kaomojis and text dividers are displayed and sent. • Improved kaomoji deletion slightly, though it is still not perfect. • When opening the font selection page, it now automatically scrolls to the section of the currently selected font. • When maximized, the keyboard is now slightly less tall than before. Hi everyone, this is Kevin! This is phase 1 of the big keyboard redesign. I’ve adapted the design to iOS 26 and started preparing for major improvements to Kibik’s layout and features. Please send me any bugs you find or suggestions you have, I’ll be very grateful. You can tap “Contact” in the main app. In this first phase, the keyboard has been redesigned to fit better with Apple’s iOS 26 style. If you’re still on iOS 18, your Kibik keyboard will now look like it does on iOS 26, which might feel a bit surprising at first, but once you get used to it, it’s great. If you can upgrade to iOS 26.1, I recommend it: it’s stable and battery life is excellent. In apps that still use the old iOS 18 keyboard because they haven’t updated yet (WhatsApp, Messenger, etc.), the keyboard might look a bit odd. This will be resolved once those apps update to the iOS 26 keyboard in the coming weeks. New in this version: • Improved: The keyboard now uses the colors and sizes of iOS 26. The toolbar no longer has a background color; it’s transparent and looks great. • Improved: The font selection popup menu is more compact and clearer. • Fixed: The globe icon no longer appears inside the keyboard on iPhone 17 and 17 Pro, since it’s already in the bottom bar. • Fixed: Switching between Light and Dark mode now works perfectly, even with custom color themes. • Fixed: The keyboard now displays correctly in the Gmail app. • Fixed: Fixed an issue where dragging to select accents on the letters in the top row of the keyboard was not being detected. • Many other small improvements and bug fixes. Known issues: • The font selection popup menu appears very small on my iPad. Please let me know if that is the case on your iPad too. • The emoji screen background color differs from the keyboard background color. I’ll fix that soon. • Color themes are currently single-color; I may bring back their secondary tones. • The spacing of rows and keys on iPad doesn’t yet match iPadOS 26. • The accents selection (éèëî) when long-pressing a key isn’t yet identical to iOS 26. • In the keyboard, I’ve made font selection much more practical: when you tap the button, you’ll now see a quick-access menu to switch back to the normal keyboard/font, revisit your recent custom fonts, or browse the full list. Let me know what you think!
