Description

Create dynamic visual effects with Splode Lab. Tons of control, tons of options, tons of fun. Draw with fire, tap explosions, or create mind blowing visual displays. Put your headphones on and make some Splode! Splode Lab Ex is a realtime visual effects (VFX) creation tool giving you the power to create mind warping videos you can share with your friends. Great for casting to a TV during dj parties or just exploring your creative side. Fx you create in the editor can be shared as a video on social media or used in your own creations. There is even a simple title graphics editor so you can add text over your explosion or fireworks vfx. Export video loops and drop them into your favourite VJ software. Just some minor UI changes in this version, based on your feedback. * Removed the Quick Edit button. It wasn't obvious which Splode you where editing. You can continue to edit by clicking on a cell inside of a brush. * Disable recording button when using Presets. You must have a brush selected before you can begin recording. Experiment with Presets then drag the ones you wish to use into a Brush.

The new feature for this update is the ability to generate geometric patterns. Normally we spawn particles randomly in the space you choose, but now you have the option of evenly distributing all of them at launch. Sounds like a small thing, but gives you a whole new range of VFX with which to play. For you veteran users, setting your emitter lifespan to ZERO triggers this mode! We've added some tool tips to show you exactly how. When exporting clips you can now choose a loop option. This will capture three passes of your scene which you can cut up as an Intro, Loop and Outro for use in other software. We have also improved performance allowing for more particles at a higher frame-rate. You can tune performance in the Settings application. Fixed an issue rendering emoji mixed with text in the Text Brush. Check out the help manual for more details and don't forget to follow us on social media for examples and tips!

A big update this time. We've added a new Brush type which allows you to import your own artwork or photographs and set them as a Scenes background. To allow full control, we let you set the Blend Modes for mixing Splodes and Text into the new backgrounds. This opens up lots of options, and some really trippy glitch effects are now possible. We've also improved performance for older devices and let you crank up the settings for those of you running the newest kit. Check out new built-in demo Scenes and Splodes taking advantage of the new features - get those ideas flowing! Lastly we've added a quick link to our soc-med where you can check out over 100 Splodes and keep tabs on our latest experiments.
