Description

Subwords is an exciting mix between a trivia and a word game. Words are split into syllables and you have to put them back together as fast as possible. The words in every level are bound to a certain topic, so you have to know about the topic to solve it. But it's no problem if you aren't that familiar with a specific topic: Simply click the bulb to learn something new! Features: - 45 levels, ranging from animals and fruits to European countries, our solar system or greek mythology etc. - 20 bonus levels built specifically for kids up to an age of 8 years. - Two modes: Classic and Timed! - Fully accessible via VoiceOver and Voice Control - Learn spelling and syllabification of words, plus new vocabulary! - Head control: Play the game by just moving your head! Hello! Hope you enjoy the summer as much as I do!  This update makes it possible on the iPad to play the game in landscape with the charge port to the left, if the gyro is turned off (which many requested). I also updated to the Game Center iOS14 hub (now in settings in iOS14) and added a little overview where you can see other apps that I built.

Barrierefreies Spiel
Auf der Suche nach einem barrierefreiem Spiel für blinde und sehbehinderte bin ich auf diese App gestoßen. Erst einmal vielen Dank an die Entwickler, das Spiel ist interessant und auch mit VoiceOver zu bedienen. Mir ist nur aufgefallen, dass die Wischgesten immer mal wieder stocken, die App hängt sich zwar nicht auf, aber durch die Wischgesten wird das Spiel irgendwie verlangsamt, daher verliert man sehr viel Zeit. Es frustriert mich einerseits aber macht mich auch ehrgeizig, es dennoch immer wieder zu versuchen. An dieser Stelle würde ich mir eine Lösung wünschen.

Voyce Over
Das Spiel lässt sich im Grunde super mit Voyce Over bedienen, klasse, dass das mit einbezogen wurde! Einziges Problem: Mit Voyce Over muss man sich ja mit Wischgesten durch die Silben vor- und zurückbewegen und da habe ich den Eindruck, dass die App da etwas zeitverzögert reagiert. Vielleicht kann man da ja was machen oder mehrere Zeitlevel integrieren, für Voyce Over-Nutzer*innen vielleicht sonst etwas zu knapp bemessen, weil die Gesten oft etwas aufwändiger sind. Nichtsdestotrotz gefällt mir das Spiel sehr und mein Ehrgeiz zum Level freischalten ist geweckt.☺️

Ein schwieriges aber tolles Spiel
Das Spiel ist schwierig und fordernd, aber nicht unmöglich. Bei mir hat es sehr schnell den Ehrgeiz geweckt. Ich fände es toll, wenn man irgendwo einsehen könnte wie die Sterne vergeben werden. Das würde den Erfolg und den Misserfolg verständlicher machen. Trotzdem eine gute App die fünf Sterne verdient hat.

Druckempfindlichkeit
Leider lassen sich die Silben der Wörter auf dem iPad nicht immer leicht auswählen. Man muss manchmal mehrmals mit dem Finger markieren. Das ist unter Zeitdruck natürlich sehr frustrierend. Das sollte dringend verbessert werden. Das scheint auch nicht an der Empfindlichkeit des iPads zu liegen und ist wohl appspezifisch.

Schönes Spiel
Vorschlag: Eigene Begriffe eingeben können. Vor allem für Erstleser ist das relevant mit den Begriffen, die sie schon kennen und hiermit verinnerlichen können. Edit, Vorschlag 2: Kann man die App kompatibel mit iOS 10 oder gar 9 machen? Kinder bekommen oft ältere Tablets. Bei mir läuft die App auf den Kinder-Tablets daher gar nicht, viele andere Apps aber durchaus. Es muss ja nicht jedes Feature benutzt werden. Edit2: Auf dem iPhone SE scheint die Schrift zu groß, Wörter sind manchmal umgebrochen oder abgekürzt („Großart...“). Kann man die Schriftart einstellen? Die „2“ in der Zeit sieht für

Ein sehr kurzweiliges Spiel
Mir macht das Spiel sehr viel Freude und der Schwierigkeitsgrad im Zeitmodus ist fordernd, aber nicht unmöglich. Leider gibt es in dem Modus Verzögerungen, nachdem ich eine Silbe angetippt habe - was bei der knapp bemessenen Zeit ungünstig ist - daher nur vier Sterne.
