Description
Amplified Bible
The Amplified Bible (AMP) is an English translation of the Bible produced jointly by The Zondervan Corporation and The Lockman Foundation. The first edition was published in 1965. It is largely a revision of the American Standard Version of 1901, with reference made to various texts in the original languages. It is designed to "amplify" the text by using a system of punctuation and other typographical features to bring out all shades of meaning present in the original texts.

I really enjoy the ease of use of this app—it’s intuitive and makes note-taking simple and efficient. One improvement I’d strongly recommend is reconsidering the placement of the delete button in the notes feature. Having it available while actively writing has led to several unfortunate moments where I’ve accidentally lost hard-earned notes by lightly grazing the delete option.
It would be much safer to move the delete function to the main notes list, placing it to the right of each note instead. Additionally, adding an undo feature would be incredibly helpful, along with bullet-point formatt

Great but needs verse selection
I’m really enjoying this Bible and it allows me to go back and forth between my other bible translation app and this one for a more in-depth study with the amplified classic. My only suggestion for improvement is that there is no way to go directly to a verse. You have to scroll all the way down to get to it which can slow you down when you’re trying to keep up during a sermon or Bible study. Also, it’s very hard to see highlights in the dark background version.

The morning & evening devo alone is worth the download. Most folks don’t know that reading the AMP version is as close as you can get in the English language to reading the actual original Greek & Hebrew manuscripts. NIV is also much closer than NLT but not everyone is aware of this either. I praise the Lord for this AMP app. The tiny ads don’t block what you’re looking at. Get it and you will be blessed if you use it.

An Avid Bible App User
Last month when my other bible app update went not too well. Making it difficult to get better use like before. I gave this bible app a try. And so far this is a bit better. I absolutely love that I can click it to make it flipping the page. Just like hard copy bible books. And change the background for light to dark modes, and highlights colors. It isn't perfect.
Greek and Hebrew are very economical languages. You can say more meaning in Greek and Hebrew with fewer words than you can in English or American style English. When the translators of the Bible tried to bring the ancient languages into English they took the admonishment not to add to or detract from what the Word of God was saying as to mean that they needed to give a one word for one word translation. I found this version of the Bible, which allows me to hear God’s word, on an old cell phone that I had not used for a long time. There is a Bible verse that ends with something like “. .. and faith comes by hearing the word of God. The Amplified Translation has been my favorite for a long time. I also like the feature that you can choose the voice in which to hear. I have a good friend who is of Irish descent so I let her hear that voice. She thought that it was “ pretty good.”

Selection Of Audio Voices
I installed this app for one reason: because it has an option to hear the Amplified Bible read for you. However I found that although many choices of different male and female voices with either British or American accents can be selected, irrefutably, and distractingly not a single one of them even is a real person – they are all of an archaic artificial computer generated type that because of that fact unavoidably grates on my nerves, and is very, very disruptive making the capability completely useless to me. The Amplified Bible
I read many different translations of the Bible and have consistently favored The Amplified Bible because it is translated from the original greek and hebrew languages.
It enables me to understand the Bible much better, as it uses accurate descriptions of measurements, coinage, cultural and social mores, historically accurate time tables, maps, and references that clarify and “bring to life” scripture in a way that no other translation does.
Reading this Bible for the past 30 years has allowed me to really come to know and trust The Lord and His Word.

Better settings
I got the Amplified Bible version and we all know it is a longer read than KJ. I would like to be able to bookmark how far I am in my reading. For example, if a I read 4 days worth and get ahead, I see no way of bookmarking and determining how far ahead I am. You have to go back to reading plan, scroll the arrow to determine how how far you have read. Then you have to remember what book and verse you left at.
It would be nice to see exactly how far you have read at the reading point.

My thought on this translation
I have found with all the Bible apps this one is the easiest to maneuver. It has numerous translations for good references, my only caution is to aware of some of the translations: wording could not be what KJV is. That is my only concerns. We have to be wise in what translation we choose. I choose KJV because I know it is the closest to the original translation from the Hebrew writings. I do however read another translation if I need easier clarity of a verse but, I do make sure it has not taken out important words like the blood, Jesus name, the cross, or changes words to make them have dif

I think this is a Good version of the Bible . Anything that helps people understand God's Word , I'm all for it. I'm a Bible teacher , and I would recommend it to anyone . This is a very handy app and greatly appreciated. Some theologians think this version is not to be received at all, but I think there is a translation for everyone that they can relate to. And this is what is important. Personally I like to use several different ones at a time just to cross check them. I am grateful to have this version in a portable form. Sometimes when someone makes a comment or I see something on TV or hear something on the radio, it reminds me of a passage of Scripture and I want to read it with all of the nuances or possible interpretations at once.
