FRUSTRATED ‼️‼️
I used to use this long ago & tried again for my iPhone on a trial… it would NEVER work correctly or show it was working, never would update as extension but it did something cuz phone was faster than before. Then trial ended, it was yucky again, so I just spent $40 bucks for a year & no matter what I do/click on, it doesn’t engage on everything; no premium ‼️‼️ I can’t win😢😡 & they cannot call you or you call them!, only email which is difficult for me to do and get help I need ‼️😡 guess I’ll be canceling & asking for my $$ back.

Hijacked an Open Source Project for Profit
Adblock Plus, is an open source, community backed project that’s open to contributions from anyone. Being that in the past I’ve submitted sites to the list myself, I don’t like having someone package works that I and others contributed to in our free time bundled, and sold back to me for profit, especially not in a subscription model. I’ve stuck with ABP from the beginning and it’s sad to see this project go down like this but save your money and uninstall.

Glad to see l am not alone
As others are stating…in last few weeks, ads are showing up on many of the pages i follow…such as NY Post OR or the page reloads so many times I get an error message and it stops loading. Using Safari’s “Hide element”’feature much more to get rid of the annoying ads bit that causes other issues. What gives? I notice you no longer have a feature about allowing “acceptable ads” …(a feature I always had off) which I assume means you are now allowing what you consider “acceptable.”. Note…i do not consider any ad acceptable.

No longer works
This app has been great and trouble free for years. Since the Feb 2026 update, it’s made safari unusable. Constant ads, pop ups, and continual refreshing of internet pages means you can maybe read a paragraph or two before the page refreshes. It’s more annoying than the ads. I’ll have to find something else. Seems like the whole new app is oriented toward enticing users to a paid subscription. With the way it works now, I’d never consider it. Good luck. Hope you get it sorted out. I’ll be long gone.

Surprisingly rivals PC ad blockers
Blocks pop under ads, redirects, and general pop ups on safari. Was able to use my normal streaming site with airplay and didn’t have any intrusive random ads like usual. Works better than paid versions of other ad blockers in the store, 5 star for sure.

Will kill your phone
For months I thought my old phone was finally giving out, but right after getting the latest update for Adblock Plus, I could no longer use Safari at all without it constantly crashing, freezing, and lagging out my entire device. This is when I finally realized Adblock Plus was the problem all along. I deleted it and my phone finally runs smoother again and I’m no longer having issues with Safari even after installing a different ad blocker. Do not recommend this app especially if you’re using an older device.

New version sketchy?
It used to work just fine until I updated it. Suddenly it was requesting permissions to view my whole browsing history + the ability to read and alter ALL webpages—which my iPhone warned includes potential access to sensitive information like passwords and any saved card information. If the privacy situation was so bad before, maybe I didn’t notice because the app was doing its job, but I definitely don’t feel like I can trust this new version. Uninstalled, regretfully, because I liked this app a lot.

Worked immediately after I enabled the app in settings. If it’s not working for you, it may be it’s not turned on in your browser settings. No pop-ups in your browser. Edit: This app has worked up until March-April of 2025. Now there is no option to turn it on in your settings so it no longer works.

I was recommended this by a friend and had been using it for so long and I loved it til the more recent updates. I made sure to check everything was enabled and working but it only works sometimes and I have to constantly refresh the page to get rid of ads instead of it doing automatically like it used to. I wish you’d roll back the update or fix it because I’d love to keep using your app!

Used to be amazing until April 2025 update
First of all, I rarely rarely use Safari browser, but some Apps require you do for login to save game progress, for example, and when I use Safari, AddBlock is amazing. Second, I wish the app would work with other safer and better browsers like Firefox and DuckDuckGo browser. Maybe work with Egr would be nice as well (Edge browser and AdBlock work amazingly well on PC, but not on iOS. So why 2/5 stars? Well… the App used to be amazing before the April 2025 update. It does not work anymore… at all. I tested and followed their steps, still does not work. I did not update to the “new versio

The application is great, everything works for a while. When a new advertisement appears, the application for some reason does not remove it even after updating the registry, and when the application is downloaded, it cannot load the registry for a long time and you have to wait an unknown amount of time iOS version for reference: 15.8.3

Freezes if you change a setting
App freezes/no longer works if you adjust settings. Only way to restore functionality is to delete and reinstall and then not change settings. The very pages with the worst ads detect the presence of an ad-blocker and won’t function unless you turn it off, so, ultimately you’re stuck with flashing ads despite having a blocker. The internet and all things tech have definitely jumped the shark.

Works great… when it works
Using this on an iPhone 11 (running iOS 16.3). If you get it running, it works very well, having the option of allowing acceptable ads or blocking all. Allows ads on sites you put on the “allow list”. However, my experience with it has been less than stellar. If the app is updated, or turned off for whatever reason then turned back on, it is like it isn’t even running (even though it is turned on and “block ads” is selected). Tried shutting it down and restarting, shutting Safari down and restarting, etc. after a few days it randomly starts blocking. This would easily be a 5 star app if this w

The Best Ad Blocking Tool
I’ve used Adblock Plus for Safari for about two years, along with two other ad blockers. Recently I upgraded my iPad to iOS17. Suddenly got ads all over the place! I checked the Adblock Plus and readjusted my enabled websites list, and closed the iPad, then re-opened it after a few minutes. Voilá— no more ads! This app is much more efficient than the other two ad blockers I used before. My suggestion to anyone having ad problems after installing an iOS update is just to check and recalibrate your Adblock Plus, and close your device, then re-open it. I really hate ads, so I love this app.

It seems when I install and use this app that my phone, and Safari appear a bit slower and less responsive/laggy, including loading the web pages. I’m not sure what it is exactly. Maybe using too much memory or something? Bugs? Background processes? Thanks.

It would be good for a paid app, for a free one, it's pretty great. Blocks scams/ads when other apps try opening safari. Still opens to a blocked content page, but you get what you get when you don't put money into what you think is important
