As an Apple user photos and videos automatically store in iCloud so another storage app like google photos isn’t necessary for me. I only got the app so I could have access to photo albums that were otherwise inaccessible to me. Upon downloading the app it asked a prompt which said something along the lines of “Will you allow your current device data/photos to be backed up on google photos?” I didn’t realize that agreeing to this innocent prompt would cause my google storage to become full to the brim. I have spent that past 2 days deleting emails, google docs, slideshows, graphs, and so on in
