I’ve used Pepperplate for maybe ten years and was surprised in January (like everyone) when I tried to sign in on my laptop only to find that they had switched to a paid subscription service with no warning. However, my iOS app continued to work, so it seemed like the desktop access was a separate premium feature. Evidently, the company failed to learn from their move in January when hundreds of their users voiced their displeasure re: suddenly losing access to the service with no warning.
