First they offer you online check in, then they anyway ask you to go for check in counter (I had visa-free direction, but they had to double check the documents, even after I downloaded everything in the app). Air China doesn’t have that issue. Because of that issue I was two minutes closer to miss check-in deadline while I did online check in in advance
