I wish I could control my devices from this app without running them through Alexa (you can, but I like to be able to shout out for various grow lights to come on and off.) In the 6 months I’ve had these plugs and app they haven’t malfunctioned once, whereas I’ve had to reconnect devices to the Alexa app every so often. I complain about the Alexa app in my head every time I use it, and it’s worse now that I’ve used the Kasa app. The Kasa app is clean and simple, you can see clearly which “event” is happening next, you can see at a glance the schedule for all your devices. Apparently the ability to mute as default has been gone for a while but I only just updated my app as I was forced to. The audio isn’t great, so when I click to view a video the sound is automatically on loud and a huge roaring comes out of my phone. Previously you’d have to tap to unmute. I much prefer having mute be the default option as I only sometimes need sound. I don’t use it as much because it’s not very good. I was already considering replacing my blink cameras because the WiFi is terrible and quite often I get an error when I try to use the live view. I often have to restart the ap
