They've existed forever and the only difference in the past five years is this looong animated loading screen that quite clearly takes longer to play than the app does to load, meaning users have to wait just because someone felt the need to show off a useless animation. Because if you don't show it off it's a waste of money, right? Why bother improving the app to load faster when you can just add a waiting screen! Everyone should ditch this for Partiful. EB exists in a strange land of software limbo that no one understands how or why it exists.
