As someone who’s been both a reader and writer on Wattpad for about ten years now, I think my opinion holds some weight. I love Wattpad, I truly do. It’s been good to me for many years. Not only did they provide a platform for anyone who wanted to write and polish their art to do so freely, but they allowed the readers to—for many years—access all kinds of stories for free. I discovered Wattpad about four to five years ago, and at the beginning I mostly just used it to read. It has such a diversity when it comes to its content and something great about it is how close the writers can be with their readers. There’s great communication between the two parties which I think isn’t something you usually see outside of Wattpad. In addition to their unique and diverse authors, Wattpad also has such great opportunities for upcoming writers like myself.
