The thing that separates this app above the others like it is that Google Photos automatically makes AMAZING memory videos that are compilations of your normal photos and videos. The app has automagically created awesome videos of, say, either of my daughters’ birthday parties, or a family weekend trip we’ve taken, and I freaking LOVE that. Sometimes the videos are perfect, sometimes they are perfectly great starts for me to edit from. HOWEVER, I have started seeing these automagically created videos LESS-AND-LESS!
