I’m still happily sitting on the last 8.x version of this game and watching the reviews in horror. Seems like the vast majority of people here hate the new version and would gladly revert to v8 if they could. Obviously, virtually nobody is happy with “Classic” mode which is nothing like the classic version of the game. You’re not going to get around that by pasting the same tired “use classic mode; it’s the same” response. There’s an easy fix for this that should make everyone happy. This is a really great Sudoku app. Well, it would be if it wasn’t so fixated on scoring. The flashing score modifier and constant attention-drawing timer significantly detracts from what could be an amazing zen-like experience. And heaven forbid you break a streak or make a mistake. You basically get a full on red alert situation with giant shaking red notices and non-dismissable text. This isn’t what Sudoku is meant to be. Developer, why can’t I disable all of the distractions and just play?
