Airbnb started off as a great idea, but it has significantly declined. We booked a trip 6 months in advance and the owner of the property sold it 1 week before our trip. The “host” was actually not the owner of the home as listed, rather a property manager who tried to circumvent the Airbnb terms of service by offering us inferior accommodations and passing it off as adequate, all off platform.
