I’ve been using the free version of the MapMyRun app for nearly 20 years. I’ve never been a serious runner and I’m now at the age and condition where I walk and seldomly run. This app tracks location much better than the current Fitbit app. For example, today I ran both apps on a 1.8 mile walk. MapMyRun indicated 1.8 miles and shows my path accurately on a map. The Fitbit app indicated 0.72 miles, drawing straight line “shortcuts” through places I wasn’t and couldn’t go. Fitbit Charge 6 is great for step count and other biometrics, but the app seemingly samples the gps sporadically rather than
