AllTrails is great for exploring hikes and getting up to date trail info. Also nice to track progress over time. Unfortunately, after 500 miles using the app, it isn’t working for me anymore. Aside from activity auto stopping on me the past few hikes without notice, The biggest reason is that I got an Apple Watch. Now, I have an incredible fitness device and no longer need my phone on hikes. The AllTrails watch experience is horrible. You can’t see the trail without taking your phone out. The compass thing looks cool but is super annoying in practice. I don’t want to see the direction of the
