Merlin app used to be my go to bird ID app as a professional and traveling birder. However, since the most recent update they’ve added too much data and it’s glitchy and obnoxious. The videos that pop up during the sound ID are annoying, and listening and watching the actual bird gets lost in these videos. Why not make this feature an option? Also, when I’m pulling up a particular species, I don’t need to see a list of every other similarly named bird in the world. Merlin is adding all of this information without a complete sound library and getting away from what they’re good at. Again, why n
