Haven’t gotten to actually using it so can’t speak for its functionality. What bothers me is that right after installation it says “this version is no longer supported” and asks you to go to their website. Why is it on App Store then? Perhaps to circumvent some of the Apple safety features? Also, why does a captions app need to track me across websites that have nothing to do with it? Is this a caption app or a spyware? Judging by what data they collect I would say the latter.

I downloaded the app because of privacy. That’s nice - when it works. But what good is a messenger when your messages do not get delivered, or they do but show as not delivered, or they show as unread when they have been read, or you have to close the app and open again every time you want to see whether you actually have a new message… and sometimes even that doesn’t work. I am happy that we can finally send videos longer than 15 seconds - which took a while. But again, if I download a messenger app, I expect that I will be able to send and receive messages.
