As if there weren’t enough reasons to absolutely loathe this monopolistic dumpster of a company, here’s another: they’ll lie to you about deleting your account. I went through their unnecessarily convoluted process for deleting my account and was assured that it had been completed. Assuming this was true, I carried on with my life. 7 months later I was checking old accounts to ensure they weren’t accessible and I was able to log back into my Ticketmaster account. My name and email remained perfectly visible. I wrote to their privacy team asking for help and to lodge a complaint. They insisted

I managed to create two TuneIn accounts over the years. I’ve been trying, without success, for MONTHS to delete them. In the app’s account settings, there’s a “Delete your account” link. I’ve clicked it. This logs me out and a message indicates that customer support will be in touch to confirm deletion. This NEVER happens, though. After waiting weeks or even months in some cases, I’ve been able to log back into my accounts with absolutely no data deleted. TuneIn wants your data and they’ll keep it. Apple really needs to do a better job testing these apps to ensure they do what they say they do
